WestJet Rewards Status Match 2019 Terms & Conditions
Legal, restrictions and terms and conditions
Get Gold or Silver status until December 31, 2019 with proof of status in the other Canadian airline's frequent flyer or coalition program before May 23, 2019.
To participate in the Status Match promotion (the ""Offer""), you must join WestJet Rewards at westjet.com/rewards and must individually submit a request to participate between April 23 and May 23, 2019 by sending an email to statusmatch@westjet.com and providing the following information:
- your first and last name
- your 9-digit WestJet ID (provided to you upon joining WestJet Rewards)
- a scanned copy or photo of your membership card in the other Canadian airline's frequent flyer program showing your name, current 2019 status valid through to December 31, 2019.
Status valid through to December 31, 2019 with the other Canadian airline is defined as having achieved status through the equivalent minimum of 25,000 qualifying miles or 25 qualifying flight segments in addition to $3,000 in qualifying spend in that program during a calendar year. All status levels above the minimum qualifying miles or flight segments in addition to spend required to achieve status with the airline are eligible for this Offer.
Status valid through to December 31, 2019 with the other Canadian airline’s coalition program is defined as having achieved top-tier status through the equivalent minimum of 50,000 miles. Status in the other Canadian airline frequent flyer program must be granted by the airline itself; status granted by an alliance partner is not considered eligible.
Status in the other Canadian airline is defined as having achieved Membership through the equivalent minimum of $1,500 in qualifying spend in that program during a calendar year.
Top-tier status with other Canadian loyalty credit cards and/or coalition programs are not valid for this Offer.
All required information must be provided, or the submission will be deemed incomplete. Screenshots showing account information or submissions of any other kind will not be accepted. Requests cannot be processed until a legible copy of your current top-tier status credentials earned with that program have been provided.
Once a request to participate has been received, the information will be verified by WestJet within 14 days and, if this Offer is deemed to be complete, accurate and eligible, applicable Gold or Silver status will be granted.
To qualify for Gold status, you must present proof of status with the following: 35K, 50K, 75K, 100K or Priority membership level.
To qualify for Silver status, you must present proof of status with the following: 25K, Black or Diamond, or Passport membership Level.
Gold status consists of: 5% WestJet dollar earn rate, unlimited airport lounge access, 2 guest lounge vouchers, highest priority eligibility for complimentary upgrades to Premium with EconoFlex fares, early access to purchase an upgrade to Premium or Business, six advance seat selection vouchers, first and second checked bags free, no fee for same-day flight changes at check-in, Zone 1 boarding, priority support number and priority services.
Silver status consists of: 3% WestJet dollar earn rate, eligibility for complimentary upgrades to Premium with EconoFlex fares, four advance seat selection vouchers, four member lounge vouchers, 2 guest lounge vouchers, first and second checked bags free, Zone 2 boarding and priority check-in and bag drop at select airports.
The eligible member's tier status will be awarded on a promotional basis and will expire on December 31, 2019. Flight benefits awarded on a promotional basis, including through this Offer, have shorter validity periods than when awarded to a member as a result of regular program activity (ie. achieving $3,000 or $5,000 in qualifying spend on WestJet flights flown within a qualifying year).
If qualified promotional Gold status member reaches a minimum cumulative qualifying spend of $2,900 between April 23 - December 31, 2019, your promotional Gold status will continue to the end of your qualifying year in 2020.
If qualified promotional Silver status member reaches a minimum cumulative qualifying spend of $1,700 between April 23 - December 31, 2019, your promotional Silver status will continue to the end of your qualifying year in 2020.

Milestone awards are excluded from this Offer. The ability for any member to receive milestone awards, such as companion flights, is directly correlated to a member's qualifying spend at any point in time and will not change as a result of a member achieving Gold or Silver status through any means, including this Offer.
