With a devised and personalized surprise to honour the couple’s journey together, Cabin Crew Member Christopher and Customer Service Agent, Lisa, made an unexpected appearance, gifting the newlyweds two round trip tickets to anywhere WestJet flies.
At the wedding reception, held at the UBC Boat House, the newlyweds were shocked to see two uniformed WestJet employees arrive with a gift in-hand. They delivered a creative wedding safety announcement in the style of an onboard safety demonstration exclaiming, “Welcome aboard WestJet wedding 2007, with service to forever. It’s our pleasure to welcome you to the second leg of Amanda and Dustin’s journey.”
The crew highlighted unique safety features of the reception including, “keeping dancing shoes securely fastened to help guests through the Macarena, the Chicken Dance, and YMCA.”
The highlight of the surprise for Amanda and Dustin was two round-trip tickets to any destination WestJet flies, giving the couple a head start on the next chapter of their life together.
