WestJet Rewards vouchers

A companion voucher issued as a milestone award is an award you will receive when you reach specific levels of milestone qualifying spend in your qualifying year. At $4,000 and $6,000 in qualifying spend you'll receive a WestJet-wide companion voucher, valid for round-trip travel in Economy or Premium anywhere in WestJet's world (excluding flights operated by partner airlines). For milestone awards issued at $8,000 in milestone qualifying spend and higher, you'll be invited to choose from several award options, including a WestJet-wide companion voucher. Companion vouchers issued as milestone awards allow you, the member, to take anyone with you on the same itinerary for no additional cost, other than taxes, fees, charges and other ATC (Air Transportation Charges). The base fare for the companion will be waived, regardless of the amount. Valid on published fares in Economy or Premium, including seat sale fares paid for in whole or in part with WestJet dollars. Not valid on Business or Member Exclusive fares.

An annual round-trip companion voucher is part of the welcome and annual renewal award available to new and existing WestJet RBC Mastercard cardholders and WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard cardholders.

World Elite companion voucher

This offer allows you, the primary cardholder, to take anyone on a round-trip with you, on the same itinerary, to anywhere WestJet flies. Redeem for your choice of destination:

• For $119 CAD (plus taxes, fees, charges and other Air Transportation Charges) you can redeem your World Elite companion voucher on any WestJet-marketed and operated flight within Canada or to/from the continental U.S.
•  For $399 CAD (plus taxes, fees, charges and other Air Transportation Charges) you can redeem your World Elite companion voucher on any WestJet-marketed and operated flight to/from the rest of the WestJet network.

Credit card companion voucher

This offer allows you, the primary cardholder, to take anyone on a round-trip with you, on the same itinerary, on any WestJet-marketed and operated flight within Canada and the continental U.S. for $199 CAD (plus taxes, fees, charges and other Air Transportation Charges). Once approved for a WestJet RBC Mastercard credit card, please allow 4 to 6 weeks after your first purchase transaction for the welcome dollars and companion voucher to be posted to your WestJet Rewards account

As a new WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard cardholder you’ll receive:

• 250 welcome WestJet dollars
• World Elite companion voucher

As a new WestJet RBC MasterCard cardholder, you’ll receive:

• 50 welcome WestJet dollars
• Credit card companion voucher

A WestJet-marketed and operated flight is one that has a WS carrier code preceding the flight number and is operated by either WestJet, WestJet Encore or WestJet Link by Pacific Coastal.

Companion vouchers issued as milestone awards expire one year from the date the milestone is achieved. This includes companion vouchers selected as an award option for milestones achieved at $8,000 or more in milestone qualifying spend; you’ll need to choose and use your award before it expires, which is one year from the date the milestone is achieved. Bookings must be made prior to the expiry date; travel may occur after the expiry date subject to flight schedule availability at the time of booking. World Elite companion vouchers and credit card companion vouchers issued to the primary cardholder of a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard or WestJet RBC Mastercard are valid for one year from date of issue. Bookings must be made prior to the expiry date; travel may occur after the expiry date subject to flight schedule availability at the time of booking. Information on the status of vouchers issued to you can be found when you sign into your account.

Book your companion voucher online. You will have the option to use WestJet dollars on your purchase once you have entered the companion voucher booking path. To make changes to an existing companion voucher booking, you can do so online via Manage Trips or call our contact centre.

If you have earned a voucher, it will be automatically added to your WestJet Rewards account. Please be sure to sign in and review your WestJet Rewards account on a regular basis, so that you're aware of the status of your voucher(s). In cases where a voucher is offered as one of several award options, such as milestone awards over $8,000 in milestone qualifying spend, you will need to sign in and choose your award to have the voucher added to your account. If you are a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard or WestJet RBC Mastercard cardholder and you receive an annual World Elite companion voucher or credit card companion voucher, it will be automatically added to your WestJet Rewards account 4 to 6 weeks after your first card purchase, or 30 days after your card renewal date each year thereafter. You may also receive an email during this time to inform you the voucher has been deposited.
