Worst hotel ever!

We arrived at the hotel at 3pm only to find out our room wasn’t ready. When we went to check on it at 5pm, we were told that we were getting an upgrade. It wasn’t an upgrade it was the room we paid for. H...otel staff will walk past empty beer bottles or plastic cups blowing around the pool area & not bother to clean up. Pool was dirty, I was there 12 days & I never saw anyone cleaning the pool. Everyday it got worse, all management was worried about was how long you had your pool umbrella. Room was a duplex, balcony on the 4th floor was so dirty from bird poop. It was disgusting. Never received the right number of towels & like I said the staff at the front desk was the worst. DO NOT STAY AT THE ACCURA IN BARBADOS. People we meet on the street in the restaurants were wonderful, hotel sucks! I could go on & on.
Accra beach & Spa you can do better what a shame

On arrival the hotel there was the usual queue at reception the staff taking a long time with each person Finally got to are room and it was nice a good size bath room also good size plenty off wardrobe s...pace Balcony nice with good wooden chairs & a little table in the shade. With a road view. That we expected my husband started to look for the safe no safe so rang up its in the wardrobe she said no its not !! we send someone up ..but no body came on are way out for the evening we çalled at reception explained that we didn't want to stay in a room with out a safe and she said that they would probably be able to get us one so went out the next day. Next day still Nothing had been done so told the Hoilday rep he pointed it out to them & with in the hour a safe was in the room .we wear just happy not to have to move rooms . .got talking to some people that come to the hotel at the same time as us about the shower they said that it was very difficulty to use & it felt like he would pull it off the wall but the staff said it's would be OK We soon found out what they meant very difficult to work on off & to regulate the temperature was very hot or cold we where glad we didn't Have children. We was on the 3rd floor so the next day went of the lift didn't work on the way back it did .the day after my husband put the plug in the sink so he could have a shave it wouldn't come back out so some body came to that he didn't mend it just pulled it out but it wouldn't work at all after and you just had to get a wash under Running water all the time after that !! The day after that the lift didn't work again and didn't work the rest of are Hoilday by luck we found 2 more lifts But nobody was going to tell us about them The only other thing was the lights in the room no bedside lamps so couldn't read if my husband won'ted to sleep as the lights were so bright so bedside lamps were really missed There was a iron & a ironing board Though if you would have needed them come on Accra this hotel as the makings of being great its got a beautiful beach straight on the door step a fantastic pool that's easy to get in and out of that's warm And a real pleasure to be in plenty of sun lounges a swim up pool bar if you like that kind of thing and 2 other bars beside. We didn't have any food so can not comment on this but heard it wasn't that good .allso the staff Are not that friendly or polite or helpful ?? so the only people we left tips for was the cleaning staff that looked after are room and give us clean towels
