Don’t Bother – Choose Baha Mar Instead

We stayed 3 nights at The Coral at Atlantis Bahamas, mainly for its proximity to Marina Village and the ice cream shop (we’re traveling with a toddler). While the grounds are beautiful and the location is ...family-friendly, the service was truly disappointing—rude, dismissive, and consistently unhelpful. Some examples: • Staff said pink cones didn’t exist—then pulled one out only after we insisted. • Kids Concierge said there were “no kids activities,” then reluctantly acknowledged pools, aquariums, etc. • Restaurant staff didn’t know menus, hours, or even where places were located. • My husband has Marriott Bonvoy status (a supposed Atlantis partner), and they completely ignored any perks. When we asked, staff were vague, rude, and dismissive. The only staff who made a remotely positive impression were the friendly housekeeping team, one kind server at Silan, and a helpful person at the Sundries shop. Everyone else seemed disinterested in guests, and poorly trained. Food is average at best and not worth the price. Staff default to “no” instead of trying to help. It’s just not worth the money or frustration. We’ve had friends and family rave about Baha Mar instead—and next time, that’s where we’ll go.

The Coral rooms are definitely dated. Need to be updated. The water park is nice, but during spring break a lot of the water slides were closed. Almost half of them. Very disappointing!! Especially w...ith the money you pay. The coral pool is nice. Some restaurant servers were not very pleasant which made the mood not so great.
