This was our second Sandals vacation but our first to Antigua. Most of the staff were very friendly and polite. The grounds are lovely, beach is beautiful and landscape is lush. Big plus with only commutin...g 15 minutes from the airport! We were celebrating our 25th anniversary so we paid extra for butler service which was wonderful and purged on the honeymoon penthouse suite in the Mediterranean village. The ocean view was gorgeous. The included water sports were terrific! While our suite was well appointed, clean and spacious, it did show signs of age and need of sprucing up. The glam bath was huge but the lighting was awful. Even the light up makeup mirror was very dim. We are not foodies by any means but we did find the food to be “just ok” and the entertainment was just ok as well. We dined at every restaurant on property for either breakfast lunch or dinner. Honestly, our breakfasts, dinner at Mario’s and OK Corral and sushi at Soy were the best dining experiences. That’s it! We paid for a couples massage and it was fabulous and the entire staff were great. They even sang happy anniversary to us upon our departure from the spa. This was not a cheap vacation!! We had a wonderful time but I’m not sure we’d spend this amount of money to return to Sandals again. We loved the pampering and the all inclusive features, but we expected better meals for $1500 a day.

We have just finished a week’s holiday at Sandals Antigua. This is the second time with Sandals but the first in Antigua. Overall we have had a lovely time. In particular the grounds are lovely as is the b...each and we have had some great meals especially in Kimonos , Eleanor’s and Mario’s. Service has been very good with only one or two exceptions. The main issue we had was difficulty booking restaurants. There was one occasion when we were forced to eat at Bayside several nights running because all of the others were either fully booked or had a 50 minute wait list. I ended up eating at 9pm on one occasion which is way too late for me. This was after a 45 minute wait at Bayside where we could actually see many empty tables. The other issue that needs attention is the state of the bathroom in the room we had on the Caribbean side: 519. The room was located just near one of the small pools which was nice but the fittings in the bathroom were extremely tired looking. I also had another issue and that was the hounding by staff in the larger of the two hotel gift shops. I wanted to just look around and get some ideas about things to take home but I kept getting interrupted by multiple members of staff over and over trying to persuade me to buy something there and then. I do not expect to be hassled in a 5 star hotel so Sandals please rethink your staff training .That said I would definitely come back to Sandals again as the overall experience was good but maybe not to Antigua. Special thank you to the chefs in Kimono as we had two great meals there.

Just had the most relaxing holiday in Sandals Antigua. Downside is the apartments are a little tired, but more than made up by the beautiful location, good food options and wonderful staff. In particular J...ohn from Ok Corral but thank you to Joy from the Carib Bar who made us feel special every day and made our holiday.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary there and loved every minute. From the delicious omeletts in the morning, the crepes, the ice cream, the Italian dinners to the comfortable room, all was great, as usual.... Came back to our room the actual day of our anniversary and there were rose petals and a note on the bed. The beach was very relaxing as was the pool. The swim up bar was great.

Restaurant service was very well done by Vernique. Very attentive and we appreciate her expertise. Dinner selections were well explained. Thank you Vernique. My review should not be controlled by number o...f characters. We will return though.
