Tourist entry tax and STINAPA nature fee
Visitor Entry Tax: Visitors to Bonaire are required to pay a tourist entry tax of $75 per person, per visit. The funds from the tourist tax are invested to support education, infrastructure, tourism development and sustainability initiatives on the island
STINAPA nature fee : All guests will need to pay locally to enter the marine partk that includes land and sea activities (snorkelling, diving, boat rentals etc.) on the island. . The dive shops, boat rentals and marinas will collect the nonrefundable $40 per person from the guests and it is valid for one year. Alternatively guests can visit and pay online. The resort is beautiful and clean. People do tend to reserve the very comfortable beach chairs despite the signs that say not to. The water does not get hot in the shower- just luke warm and the water pr...essure is very low. There is only AC in the bedroom- the rest of the one bedroom/ kitchen unit we were staying in had no air, but the porch was a lovely breezy place to hang out. It was listed as “ocean view”, but only barely. If it saves you money to choose a garden view, it’s not worth the upgrade. The breakfast was fantastic. I have never had such a great resort breakfast! The staff were pleasant but no one went out of their way to be exceptional, so I have no one to mention. The on site dive shop was ok, but prices were a good 40% more than others in town. We used them out of convenience only. We rented a truck from Avis which worked out well! I can’t wait to visit this beautiful island again!

What an amazing place to visit and what a phenomenal place to stay…! My wife and I have traveled the globe for 40+ years and have encountered just about every unexpected treasure and foley one could imagin...e. From the time we checked in, Renee (I hope I spelled it right…!) was the most amazing person I’ve ever had check us in. Problem with the room…? No issues. I’ll be there in a few minutes with a golf cart to take you to a new room. I didn’t have to call the front desk for much during our stay, other than general curiosity of Bonaire, but every single time, we seemed to get Renee. She is a consummate professional and subject matter expert regarding things to do on island and the best way to get there. There are not many people I would highlight like I have Renee on this review. She 100% went above and beyond to make our stay at Delfins the best it could possibly be. She and her genuine caring for our well being was one of the most lasting and memorable highlights of our stay…!
