Overall, Marriott was wonderful, the staff are very friendly, and I cannot complain about the hotel. Actually, I would recommend this hotel based on the location and service. This is my fifth time taking... family to Kona, and the first time I felt very unsafe walking outside the hotel. My wife and I went to a nice dinner and a car full of young men threw eggs on us as we walked back to the hotel. My wife had her new dress, her new pearl necklace, a new jewelry box, and her purse, covered in eggs. They got my shirt too. But what upsets me is I cannot stop this from happening. Whether or not you come to Kona, I hope you have a good trip. But we found out that these kids regularly cruise up the main road by the water, egging cars and tourists. The eggs didn’t hurt, but it hurts your pride when you take your family on vacation only to learn you cannot protect them. Good luck!!

My mom and I had a great stay. We came to visit family. We enjoyed the luau. Staff were excellent. They were very friendly,polite and helpful when asking for help. I will stay again. I give hotel a Five st...ar review. Aloha and mahalo. I also enjoyed the food. I glad that they offer to mail postcards.
