This review is for the Karma Sutra Palace at Hedo 2. The staff are very attentive and knowledgeable. We had a couples tantric massage and it was one of the best experiences we have had. Whilst not sexual it is truly erotic and something everyone should try.
Hedonism II- from a first timers perspective.

We came to Hedo 2 for the first time with some friends for Halloween Week. We are relatively new to this type of travel (lifestyle-friendly and clothing-optional) and just wanted to be in a place that was relaxing and had plenty of options. Hedo 2 is just that. Transportation: Flights are through Montego Bay (MBJ) Delta and American Airlines have regular stops daily. The heaviest travel days are on Friday and Saturday. It's about 1 1/2 hours to drive from the airport to Negril, and plenty of options to get there from private drivers to group transportation ($100pp round trip) to a hopper flight (about $600 round trip pp) that puts you right across the street from the resort. Currency- US dollars are accepted everywhere. There is no need for exchange, especially if you don't plan on leaving the property. We only went off-site once and just used our credit card. As a newbie, here are some things I learned that aren't really clear if you research online: 1. Hedo 2 is not just for swingers. It's a clothing-optional, lifestyle-friendly resort, and you will get out of it what you put into it. If you just want to go naked, that's all you need to do. If you want to get wild, there is PLENTY of that ;) There is a prude side (you can keep your clothes on) and a nude side (no clothes are allowed). There are orientations offered daily from the lobby- I recommend taking the tour- the staff knows EVERYTHING and can answer ANY questions you have. 2. You can travel alone, or with a group. We went with Tom's Trips, but there were several groups there -The Fluffernutter's, Char Travel, etc. The plus side to signing with a group is that you instantly have a tribe of other people you can connect to. There are organized activities, great room rates, and an app that you have access to that gives you all sorts of tips and tricks for being on the resort. Women who travel alone will have a lot more fun and have more access than men traveling alone. That being said, your experience will be enhanced if you look to see what groups are in house, when you want to travel there. That will give a good gauge of what to expect, and finding people with common interests. There are groups for young people, older people, singles, couples, and all colors of the rainbow. If you want to find out, you can reach out to the resort directly or find groups online – Facebook and Reddit are good resources. You will also run into people that have paid regular visits to the resort- and they can tell you everything I've missed in this review. 3. Hedonism Two (or Hedo for short) is an all-inclusive resort. What that means is there are plenty of activities to take part in, like tennis/pickleball, bocce, snorkeling, diving, paddle boarding, yoga, and sailing (they have Hobies), and a very nice gym on site. All food and beverage is included – the only exception being the wine bar. A buffet is offered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there are a few restaurants on property that are also included. My personal favorites were Jamaica night, where it was mostly local themed food and the Friday night buffet, which was mostly seafood. There is a little bit of some thing for everyone :) If you are a foodie, just accept that you are not there for the food, but there are moments of greatness. Harrysan was a favorite. For couples, there is also a Karma Sutra Palace which offers Tantric couples massage and classes/workshops in the Kama Sutra. We did a couple of these classes and it was great. Next time we will definitely try a Tantric massage. For the classes all you have to do is show up – you don't need to sign up ahead of time. Spa services and massage are not included in your stay. A couples massage will run $300-400 depending on what you get. Kafarah at the spa is amazing- she has magic hands! Her hot stone treatment was the best. Massages are offered at the beach - I highly recommend the exfoliation with massage early in your stay- when you are done, you jump into the ocean. It was incredible! 4. If you are nervous about being naked in front of a bunch of people, don't be. There are all types of humans that hang out at Hedo. And everyone is very friendly and open. 5. So… What do you wear to a clothing optional resort? A simple cover-up will get you pretty much anywhere you want to go on resort property, as long as it covers you completely. Clothing is required for any sort of dining, except for the nude pool- there is a grill there with burgers, jerk chicken, etc. . We went during Halloween week, so it was a little different, but no matter what time of year you go, there are theme nights every night and people do dress up. Theme nights for Halloween week were fetish and lingerie, the 80s, glow party, and of course, Halloween, where you can be anything you want. There is usually a party after dinner to go with the theme. You will see a lot of scantily clad people everywhere and people dine out in lingerie. If you want to be sexy, dress sexy. It's all good! For Hallow2een lovers- People bring stuff to decorate their rooms, doors, and patios- so much fun, and some people went all out!! 6. Some other things that should be on your pack list: drinkware, like a Yeti or the like- the pool bars will give you drinks in their glassware, but if you are hanging out on the beach, or in the pools, it is better to have your own. There are water stations and ice machines scattered all over the resort. The bars have plenty of options, and lots of local rums (Appleton Reserve is the best) but if you are a wine drinker, your choices are very limited, save for the wine bar (which is a la carte). There are plenty of towels- you don't need to bring one. If you have sensitive feet, water shoes are a must as the beaches are pretty rocky. If you are particular about diving or snorkel gear, then bring your own mask fins, and snorkel- but they have nice gear at the resort. There is a gift shop on property that has basic sundries and toiletries, outfits, hats, adult toys, etc.but as with anything you buy on a resort, it will be expensive. We brought several travel sized bottles of sunscreen and it was fine. I also brought a small stain remover and laundry detergent, and it came in handy for a quick rinse of swimwear. I can pretty much promise you that you will bring too many clothes to the resort- we lived in swimsuits and cover ups the whole time we were there. I had 2 sundresses I alternated and wore to eat. 7. Tipping: Kindness is a virtue, and Jamaicans have it in abundance. The resort staff will go out of their way to take care of you, but it was amazing to me how people forget to say please and thank you- which goes a long way for people whose job it is to take care of others. That being said, let's talk about tipping. The resort officially discourages tipping the staff- they are on salary. There is a place to put tips at the front desk, but we were told that the staff NEVER sees that. SO- tips are certainly appreciated, but hand them directly to the person you want to have it. We brought cash in small bills for tips. 8. Safety: There is a ton of security staff around the property, and they are very helpful. Cameras and photos are forbidden on the nude side- and they are not nice if you get caught trying to take pictures on the nude side. We found we really didn't need our phones with us, and left them in the safe in the room (every room has one). If you need to have your phone with you, security will put a sticker over the camera part. Wi-fi is all over the resort, but it is spotty, except in the main areas and the rooms. The one day we had it, we left it on a beach chair and it was quickly returned to the lobby front desk. 9. There are vendors on the beaches every day, selling everything from trinkets to drugs to live lobsters (I have no idea why or where you are supposed to take them to have them cooked for you) . They will usually back off with a simple "no thank you", but security is always close by if there is a problem, and they are usually on top of it before you even notice they are there. 10. The sexy side of Hedo- here's what I learned/saw. There are PLENTY of options on the resort for you to explore. If you go with a group, chances are you will be given a necklace with your name (or just what you want to go by on the trip) to wear while you are there. You will meet a LOT of people, so it comes in handy. There are color-coded beads to let people know what you are into, with a guide in the lobby (see photos). If you go with a group, they can give you those beads to add to your necklace. There is a code of etiquette on the resort- and everyone seems to follow it. If someone is out of line, it doesn't last very long. No really does mean no, and a simple "no, thank you" is respected across the board. The nude pool is the place to be to meet people, and the exhibitionists in the crowd can be seen doing what they want everyone to see at any given point in the day/night. There are games and activities planned every day, and the pool will close down a couple of times a day for cleaning and maintenance. Restrooms are located close by. There is also a swim-up bar and a grill for snacks too. The pool is crazier right before it closes for cleaning. There are playrooms and cabanas for sexy play everywhere. Some are discreet, some are open, but both playrooms have supplies, (the gift shop carries everything too). The main playroom opens around 10pm and goes until 3am. There is a separate set of rules for that area, the main one being that if you go, you can't just watch, you must participate, otherwise, you will be asked to leave. Single men aren't allowed unless they are with another couple. The best thing to know about Hedo is that you can have a good time at whatever level you are comfortable with. Special thanks to Tom's Trips and the amazing staff at Hedo for making our trip a memorable one- we look forward to coming back!
