My family and I stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba for our my son's first international trip/family vacation. We had a great time at the property and enjoyed the beautiful and serene beach, pools, and restaurants. Service was amazing - everyone was so friendly and warm - we truly felt welcomed by all of the staff. We also would like to give a shout out to Noe from the concierge team for going above and beyond during our stay. He prepared a beautifully crafted handmade sign for my son's 10-monthiversary and suggested a photo shoot (which we did and loved how the pictures came out), he responded to a million questions we had while on site, and even checked on us when my son got sick. Thank you Noe for making our stay truly special! Thanks to the Fairmont Mayakoba for a lovely beach trip!

We celebrated our anniversary and cannot wait for our return! From the moment we arrived, Salvatore welcomed us and set the tone for a perfect vacation. The kindness, hospitality, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere were done without flaw. Not one detail was overlooked. Our private concierge, Daniel, made sure everything went smoothly for us, no request was ever too much, and was there whenever we needed him with a smile on his face and always a positive attitude! We spent quite a bit at the pool by the beach and the service was excellent. Angel and Jorge went above and beyond to make sure our experience was always perfection. Breakfast at Brasis was wonderful- the food and service were great and attentive (thank you Daniela) and I highly recommend the French toast, it was delicious! The experience at Cialo with the mixologist (Humberto) was fun, knowledgeable, and would also recommend (they had a wonderful learn to mix a margarita class in the evening!)- his wingman Fernando was great too offering to take a video/photos while my husband and I learned to make a drink. Even though every restaurant was great, Gaia was definitely our favorite and if you enjoy seafood, you do not want to miss this experience. Saul, our server, was great too and made our anniversary special. Enrique was also very kind and helpful at Cialo and Gaia. There are many extra perks to staying here- boat and catamaran rides free of charge, access to paddle boards, kayaks, with helpful staff on hand. Bicycles surround the resort so you can pick one up just about anywhere you go (and golf carts are constantly moving around the resort- we rarely had to wait for one). The main takeaway if you want the best hospitality, five star service, food and atmosphere, Fairmont Mayakoba needs to be on your list. This is my 5th time in this property and I always visit every year and never disappoint. Always exceeds my expectations from food to the warmth smiles of the staff to the amenities of the property! And that is luxury! Thank you for always making our stay a memorable one

Overall the hotel was nice and relaxing . It will be a bit quiet for some, as there are no shoes or activities post dinner . We had booked our trip through Expedia and believed that we chose an all- inclusive package … but upon arrival we were advised it wasn’t . Not a big deal and I took it as a learning experience and my mistake . However, my issue with the hotel is upon checkout when settling the bill we were presented with an invoice which I paid - however, when we reached home and a couple days later we saw our bank statement online and noticed they charged us an added $2000 + ! My wife called the hotel and was hanged up on … definitely not a poor connection. Upon re-dial, they never answered the phone . She ended up calling the fairmont mainline and eventually spoke with someone. An email was sent stating that they did in fact overcharge as per procedure but should be reimbursed. We launched a dispute with visa preemptive in case we don’t see the charge reversed . This is quite surprising for a brand like fairmont ! And being hung up on is poor customer service and results in a poor experience!

The hotel is beautiful in the jungle and on the beach. The rooms are very nice. They could be a bit bigger....the restaurants are delicious. The kids loved the kids club. They had all sorts of activities which was nice when it rained. Be sure and take the boat tour of the property. It's very nice. It's a great place to go!
