A phenomenal experience

My husband and I stayed at the Seabird to celebrate our honeymoon and it was quite literally the best hotel I have stayed in during our many years of traveling. The staff was phenomenal, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, the views are amazing and the food… I can’t even explain. I would live there if I could.
Beautiful hotel…but lacking in customer service

We just returned from a 2-night stay at the Seabird. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The decor and design of every detail of the hotel are top-notch. But don’t expect to be pampered. There is no waiter service at the pool so if you’re looking to lounge by the pool, sipping fruity cocktails, I’d look for another property. In fact, I did not see a single staff member at the pool for the duration of our trip. After inquiring about food and beverage service, I was told we could order from room service by scanning the QR code which was on our welcome paperwork, which I had left in the room. A paper with the QR code was promptly brought to me at the pool. We ordered 2 items and after an hour, the food arrived, but we were told they had run out of one of the items. After waiting an hour, we were not going to wait another hour for something else. We were charged $28 for 3 chicken nuggets and fruit for a kids meal..absolutely not worth the price. My WOH membership was not acknowledged at check-in. The guest of honor award we had applied was not acknowledged and benefits were not explained. They ran out of the reusable water bottles provided to guests. And to top it all off, a men’s vest was found on our bed upon returning to our room after lunch on our last day. It’s a very uneasy feeling knowing someone had been in our room. For the high price tag and high point redemption, I would not recommend staying here. We stayed at the Bahamar in Nassau, Bahamas in February for fewer points and the guest experience was unparalleled. I’m sorry to say the Seabird missed the mark.
