Thanks for the memories!!!

We had a very restful and relaxing stay at Ports of Call. The staff were warm and friendly. It was very nice to meet the owners who helped to ensure our stay was exceptional. Typical day was quick buffet b...reakfast (croissants, coffee, fruit, yoghurt), followed by a short 5 minute walk to the beach. Ports of Call has a designated area on Grace Bay beach where we would spend our mornings lounging, walking the beach, and enjoying the warm and clear waters. Afternoons spent lounging by the pools, then quick siesta before getting dressed up for dinner at one of the amazing local restaurants. As foodies, we enjoyed the opportunity to put our $ towards restaurants to our liking as opposed to spending at an all-inclusive. Must visit the beach restaurant at the Ritz Carleton across the street for one of the best burgers and watermelon salad with an ice cold beer!! Will be definitely returning! Thank you to the staff for making our stay a memorable one. Jim and Melissa
Great service and location

This was a very nice venue and only about a 2 block walk to the beach (or can take their 8 person golf cart). The service provided through the front desk was absolutely outstanding. Each of the people that... my wife and I dealt with were exceptional in their efforts to help us, whether with directions, restaurant recommendations, etc. Specifically those included Bernard, Shandera, Emanuel and Yameenn.
Ports Of Call Resort, Turks and Caicos

So first time in Turks and Caicos! My husband and I had a ground floor Junior Suite that overlooked the pool. I must say this hotel is not exactly what most consider a resort. They do not have a swim up ba...r, tons of planned activities or even a restaurant on premises. The rooms are decent, spacious, again not luxurious . HOWEVER, it IS the best deal on the island if you are looking for a reasonable hotel, because the island is expensive! We did have resort envy when we crossed the street to go to the beach and saw some of the glamorous resorts! Breakfast was simple and adequate, the pool was pretty @ night with the lights. Our room had a terrace which was nice with a small table and chairs. The supermarket across the street is convenient for water, etc. but EXPENSIVE! A bag of apples $19.00!! We had the salad bar for lunch a few time and that was nice and not too expensive. We found the restaurants reasonable however, our favorite called Castaways down the street and Turks Kebab also down the street. We did not care for the Mexican Restaurant Skull Cantina I think its called. Beach was nice but water was surprisingly cool ! All in all we are glad we went, but doubt we will return to the Island.
Greay Stay!

The resort is nice and safe, every one was extremely friendly and helpful. It is down the block from the beach, easy walk but there is a golf cart shuttle but it only runs on the hour. The pool area was ni...ce, they have a section on the beach with chairs and umbrellas and they provide towels. The breakfast is good enough for something quick. Lots of restaurants that are easy to walk to from this location. For the price, it was just right!
Great resort, close to many things, value pricing

We were glad to have chosen POC Resort. Pool area was nice with good happy hour activities. Beach area was nice with chairs, towels, and umbrellas on a beautiful beach. The walk was not far at all. Pro...ximity to grocery store and dining areas was great so you don't need to rent a car. YouTube TV on Smart TVs was great. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast fresh offerings were marginal other than croissants which were good. Room layouts were good but bathroom venting was not great. Good tips on how to get to the resort from airport on the website. Opportunities for improvement: - Hospitality suite was a closet and bathroom converted into a hospitality room. Since its the first (waiting to check in) and probably last (late shower on departure day) exposure to the hotel, it doesn't leave you with a positive memory. - Rooms: Layout in the room was good. Enough space to feel comfortable. Beds were not that soft and pillows were not full enough. Bathroom needs better venting. - Bathroom water pressure was not great in toilets and showers, might need some maintenance. It worked okay but we were always concerned that the toilets wouldn't flush. We experienced this in two different rooms.
