Due to the continued impact of the Omicron variant on WestJet and our third-party service providers, partnered with the challenging and extreme winter conditions prevalent across the country, WestJet announced on Dec. 31, 2021, the consolidation of approximately 15 per cent of scheduled flights through to January 31, 2022. We sincerely apologize for the impact these changes have on our guest’s travel plans, the consolidation of flights was the best option to ensure the availability of our frontline staff and third-party service providers, while minimizing the impact on our guests.
