A week in paradise!

This resort is wonderful! We had a family of 8 people, including 2 small children. It was fun for everyone! We went May 5-11th, great weather, the resort wasn’t super crowded during this time. We really loved the entertainment staff and drink staff. Edwardo, Ivan, Luigi, and Andres are the ones I remember the most. Truly the entire staff is so helpful and friendly, remembered our names, drink orders… Edwardo even brought us candy from home that my sister had asked about. So thoughtful! The daytime was a blast at all the different pools. My favorite was the lazy river, but the kids loved the slides. A dance crew and different musical acts performed at the pool bar. It was a nice addition to them playing popular songs, most of them I liked! We swam with the dolphins, I definitely recommend! The pools get warm later in the afternoon, so we’d go play in the ocean for a while before dinner. The evening activities were great for the kids and adults. Various talent acts, karaoke, a silent disco, and outdoor movies were at a reasonable time after dinner. The food was good! We loved the Asian restaurant, it was hibachi style. Jorge did an excellent job preparing our dinner. One day they had a taco pop up during lunch near the pool, they were amazing. There were a several options to get food to eat during the day without going inside to the buffet, which was delicious too. The room service was so nice. They brought us scheduled coffee in the morning. If we weren’t awake yet, there is a button by the bedside table that you can select red or green. If it’s red, it means don’t knock or come in. They leave your order in a small cubby in the wall, very helpful. We are so thankful for the beautiful week we had at Dreams. I would recommend to anyone with families.

Spent 10 days here for a family wedding. Had a wonderful stay, particularly enjoyed being able to use the restaurant facilities of Secrets resort next door - Portofino was delicious. Spent the days lazing around the upper pool by Mermaid bar where the atmosphere was more chilled than the lower pool. Only thing missing was a shower around the pool as the water in the pool itself was warm by the end of the day and not as refreshing as it could be. Special mention to our poolside waiter Herberth. Kept us well stocked with cold lager, pina coladas and a smile!
