Hotel was a good budget option

So, I stayed here with my partner for 4 nights, it was our first time in vegas. Overall i would recommend this hotel, for the price you aren’t really going to get better, it was right for what we wanted. Good points: We were allowed early check in for free. The hotels location was great, it starts at the south of the strip so you don’t miss anything walking up and down. The pool area is big and has enough sun beds for everyone. The rooms were clean enough, big, and the beds were really comfy, had lots of clean towels etc. Most staff were helpful and friendly. You get plenty of free towels around the pool, we also met lots of friendly guests around the pool areas. Bad points.. there are a few, but most are not necessarily a hotel problem, but a vegas problem. So, the biggest pool in the hotel is closed throughout the week, and only opens on the weekend for some reason and the second biggest pool is closed till 11 everyday. When we first arrived, literally the moment we walked through the doors, we were hassled to buy tickets of some women for a show, so we ignored her and walked off. Drinks around the pool and bars in this hotel (probably like most on the strip) are extortionate, $16 for a beer.. you can just buy pint and a half size cans from target for $3, which everyone does. Alllll the food choices in the hotel are also very expensive, a burger could be $21, you can simply walk 5 mins down the road and get burger chips and a drink for $8-10. You aren’t allowed to watch karaoke unless you have 2 drinks each.. All ATM’s in the hotel charge you $8 to withdraw money, so I suggest getting plenty out before vegas. If you put your bags in the hotels storage before checking in, the guys who’s job it is to keep them safe expect a tip.. but again this is more of a vegas problem, everywhere you go, even if someone is simply doing there job, they expect a tip, but don’t be afraid to keep your money or itl quickly vanish just by tipping. Most of the above issues, are really just the same thing everywhere you go in vegas, if you’re not confident this city will chew you up and spit you out financially, so be careful where you go and where you decide to spend money, if you have poor will-power and aren’t assertive, this city could get you in some sticky situations. Overall Excalibur is worth the cheap price! If I was to ever return to vegas, I’d happily stay here again, although I’d only return for the beautiful national parks surrounding vegas.

A place to sleep

Sherpa32613638559 (Ohio City, Ohio) on May 11, 2024

Reasons: -Our room was dirty and table not cleaned -The bathroom fixtures were rusted -Lamp outlet didn't work -A small suspicious charging box was left -plugged in to a hidden area -Parts if hotel gift shop area stunk bad

Amazing stay for my first trip to Vegas

davidjrichard7 (Groveland, Florida) on May 11, 2024

We went to Vegas on a budget and didn’t know what to expect staying at Excalibur. Now there is a big difference between the Bellagio and The Excalibur but overall I would stay at Excalibur more often than not. It was so easy to navigate which is nice when you don’t know where you are going. The room was clean, smelled nice, and served every purpose we needed in a room. Shower was nice and big which is a plus for me. The pool area is amazing and a cool atmosphere. The Casio was nice with plenty to do. Again you have to be realistic when comparing to one of the fancy hotels. Overall our stay was amazing we WILL be staying there again when looking for a quick getaway on a budget.
