Beautiful place, large resort, lots of entertainment and food. Staff at restaurants need to be more friendly and smile more with customers. They seem unhappy to be there

We did a lot of research before booking and were a little concerned about some mixed reviews. We think it is a lovely resort and for the most part the staff did its best to please. The room was clean and nicely furnished. The TV kept giving an error message asking for permission to connect to an external device. We couldn't get rid of the message. This was a minor issue and we did not bring it to anyone's attention as we weren't there to watch TV. The restaurants were nice, with some better than others, but none were terrible. Wait time depended a lot on what time we showed up. Getting there earlier allowed us to see more of the shows. When there was rain, the shows moved inside to the Showroom which has an overpowering smell we did not find enjoyable. The staff did a nice job, along with band, of keeping the audience entertained. We have stayed at other all inclusive resorts where tipping is either not allowed/expected/encouraged. This place is not at all like that. If you go, you should bring plenty of small bills as it is standard procedure to encourage good service.
