Wonderful vacation

We are on our last day of a 9 day vacation. We stayed in a Preferred Tropical View room. We did not pay that much more for a preferred room at the time of booking. We both felt that it was worth the money. We really liked the adults only preferred pool. Lots of Bali beds that do not cost extra as they are part of the amenities. We had Jose and Andres as our servers with Rosendo as the bartender. They were always coming around with drinks or cold water. Miguel set us up with a Bali bed. Just see him around 9am to get a bed for the following day. We had a bed all throughout the vacation. These guys work very hard in very hot weather. Please show your appreciation by tipping. We really enjoyed cooling off at the preferred lounge. They had a bar with premium alcohol. We like Don Julio tequila and found it there. They also have some small food items throughout the day to snack on. Alex at the preferred bar did an excellent job with making our drinks. We had read so many complaints before going, so we went into this thinking it would be an ok vacation. We got a great deal on it so it did not bother us too much. We were extremely happy with this resort. The staff and the food were outstanding. Bordeaux was our favorite restaurant. Dayli was delightful at the desk and we had Eloy as our waiter and by the second day he remembered that we liked raspberries and had a plate of them for us. The buffet restaurant had lots of variety to the food selections. We had Mardo and his team waiting on us there. Mardo is one of those people in life who truly loves talking to people and enjoys what he does. Ask for his section. You will not be disappointed. We do tip throughout the vacation. We see many who don’t. They were treated no differently. We just know that these workers work very hard for us to have a great vacation. The workers behind the scene all help to create a wonderful stay. From the cooks to the cleaners and maintenance dept., you are all wonderful and we thank you!
World Cafe II Male Waiters Were the Best Part

The best part of my vacation to Dreams Sapphire was World Cafe II staff Rodrigo, Israel and both Eduardo’s (Eduardo the waiter and Eduardo the Manager). Their service was the best ever! They made us feel respected and the customer service to make sure we enjoyed each meal and moment in the buffet diner was exceptional. They deserve a reward for the quality of service they provide. The air conditioning is the buffet can be better. The beach needs to be cleaned because there is too much seaweed. Also, the female staff in the restaurants need to work on their treatment of female guests, especially of African Americans. We were not served timely or adequately as White or Hispanic guests and it was noticeable, even though we tipped almost every person that provided service to us. And we were only a group of 2 Black women. Entertainment can be much better but there is a woman on the entertainment team that always tries get everyone pumped up and encourages them to enjoy themselves. I don’t remember her name but individually, she was awesome. To sum everything up, Dreams is a family and couples resort. If you want more exciting entertainment and younger crowd experience, go somewhere else.
