Rundown Property, Over 3 Hours to Check In, Missing Basics
Joy O (Eugene, Oregon) on May 19, 2024
The property was shockingly run down - how is it possible a hotel right on the Vegas strip has grimy light switches so old the arrows are worn off, creepy & lopsided mannequins for decoration, bent elevator panels, and rooms missing basics like washcloths? I waited over 3 hours total to check in, and the staff seemed unconcerned about the 100+ people waiting in line as they chatted and gave the excuse that they didn't have enough staff (but didn't appear to be moving faster or moving staff over to help). It was a remarkably terrible experience. Please save yourself the disappointment and book elsewhere. If this hotel was $30 a night, it might be worth it.
Time share sales people

Time share sales people will try to sell you everytime you go in or out. Overpriced water and coffee.
Decent for the money

Definitely a budget resort. The tower rooms I thought would be a little better than the pyramid rooms but…..
Low quality, high price, pushy staff

Resort fees for a resort that doesn't open restaurants and closes their pool at 6 pm. Broken elevators, flooding, chemicals on sheets, pushy sales and timeshare employees.
Always the best

Luxor is our preferred property when coming to Vegas. The staff are wonderful. Upgrades and extras always come with our booking. And the property has far more to offer than most realize. While it is far South Strip the hotel offers the monorail which gets you close to the strip monorail. The MGM properties are always accommodating and tend to be where I win the most when gambling. My only complaint is the timeshare harassment.
