My family (2 adults, 2 children) just returned from 13 days at el cod Castilla. The hotel is decent, location is decent, but definitely would not recommend for a family relaxing vacation. Pool lounge chairs beside the heated pool were all reserved by 5:30am, with towels reserving chairs for the remainder of the day. Restaurants require reservations 24hrs in advance, the office opens at 9am, but when you go to make reservations, they are all full. Buffet food in the main dining hall is very bland and not appeasing. The servers are very pushy to sell the house bottled tequila. The haggling on the beach is intense, literally every 2-3 minutes someone is approaching you to buy something. The band on the beach with the tuba, trumpet, guitar etc are very loud. The $15usd/day is ridiculous as you have to pay for additional services such as coffee, water, and steakhouse I would not recommend this “all inclusive” to anyone with a family and looking to relax.

The el cid resort is great , great and friendly staff, Luis is great his English is awesome if you needany questions answered food is average, drinks were pretty good. Just one downfall; with Ala carte restaurants, you need to always reserve 24 hours in advance...then line up ,or call 3332 ...it would be beneficial for the resort to just people walk in! Other than that awesome resort recommended, situated perfectly for catching green bus into Centro...Mercado...cathedral....etc...:) also if you want a nice quiet room el cid Granada have room 2014!
