What a let down

Negatives: Many parts of the hotel are dated and in need of renovation. Food of very poor quality. Entertainment would be more appropriate in Butlins. Not notified of the many renovations to the hotel, large part of the beach not accessible. The island looked like a storm had blown through and wrecked everything it was shocking how unkept it was. For a 5 star I would have expected some drink service by the pool. Positives: Beautiful room spacious and clean. Quiet small pool ( not sure most people know about this pool as it's the other end of the hotel away from main area) Friendly staff. Overall I think this hotel survives on the name and nothing else. As first time to Sandals it was hugely disappointing I had such high hopes but it's definitely not worth the money, we've stayed in much nicer 5 star hotels that have been much cheaper.
Best honeymoon experience

Traveled to Sandals Royal Caribbean for our honeymoon. It was an amazing experience! I highly recommend the butler service. Twain and Keno were our butlers and they were amazing. It was the best vacation we ever had. The bartenders were so sweet too, Marvin, Chris, and Ian were the best! I couldn’t say enough good things about this resort! The entertainment crew was one point with fire shows. The live music was incredible and the Jamaican beef at the Mariner was so good! Great drinks, great food and even better service. Come to Jamaica! You will feel at home.
