Room was good, but no frills at a premium price point. My most strenuous objection was management and policy. Daughter and grandson arrived at 10:00 to Soundwaves water park in the hotel. Wife and I had pl...anned to be shortly behind them, but we had a medical incident with family that prevented us from arriving until after 5:00 that afternoon...staff wouldn't allow my daughter into our room, even though she was listed. No problem! I called to verify my identity and validate her entry but nope, nobody gets in until I'm there to swipe my card! I asked if my card was on file, and yes sir it is, but no entry. I asked if I cancel after the 48 hour cancellation policy has expired, will they charge my card WITHOUT swiping??? Yes sir, then we'll gladly charge your card without your presence, but still no entry until you're present. Worst of all, I am a Bonvoy member! The manager (after a long conversation) advised me that with my Bonvoy membership, I could have given my membership number and would have resolved my issue...then why did the clerk not know that, because the manager could see that while viewing my registration. As you can tell, it was not a huge issue but I was (am) very upset that such a simple issue could not be resolved through a conversation between two rational people. What if I couldn't have been there at all? Would my family have been put out with a $400.00 + a night reservation with her name on it??? Not a deal breaker for you, but if you have a slight request not covered by policy, just remember reading this review. I will not be back to this particular property in the Bonvoy chain...in everyplace else that I have been a guest, this would absolutely not have been a problem.

This is a sprawling resort with numerous restaurants and in-room dining. They also have several convenient places that you can purchase food/snacks to go. The food that we had was all very good and the s...taff very friendly and helpful. I recently stayed here with my family while attending a conference. It is not far from the airport (?15-20 min Uber ride). The rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. The hotel and rooms did feel a little dated. I found it a little confusing at first to find my way from the room to the conference center, but there were staff occasionally present to provide directions. It is within walking distance to the Grand Ole Opry and to a shopping mall. They have onsite parking if you rent a car and I believe it is $37/day to self park. The only real issue we had was our room key not working. It happened the first day and a few days later. Both times we had to go to the front desk to get new keys. Not a big deal, just a little annoying to walk all the way back to the front desk and have to wait in line again.
