The staff don’t like their guests!

Helen C (Bedfordshire massive) on Jun 07, 2025

The room was great & the hotel & grounds clean & well looked after but it is the staff that really let this place down. Terrible customer service from staff who appear to dislike their customers. Example...s: I politely asked at reception if there was a quieter pool area. Without even making eye contact with me I was told no. When I later checked the map saw one pool called ’Quiet’ & one called ‘Relaxation’… In the room they let you use after you check out one of the people I was with asked for a hairdryer & were told no. I asked the same member of staff & was reluctantly given one in front of the person who had been told no! These are just a couple of examples, there were more but the overall impression is that you are an inconvenience to the staff who would much rather chat amongst themselves. Very expensive but it isn’t that which lets it down. If the service was better & more friendly you wouldn’t mind paying as much!

Save some money and go to Reno

K8331PEdavidp (Austin, Texas) on Jun 07, 2025

Baha Mar is like visiting Reno on the beach. The resort is impressive and the water park was included, which seems like a good value. In hindsight, we regretted booking there though. It felt like a trip ...to Reno (not quite Vegas) with insane prices everywhere you turn. There were no shows, like in Vegas. The casinos seemed empty most of the time, even though it occupied half of the resort. Food choices seemed limited given the sheer volume of guests staying there and trying to get a reservation was challenging. When you did get one, expect to drop $200-500 for some dinners (2 people). The beach shuts down Everytime they see a rain cloud. It just didn’t feel like Bahamas at the end of the day.
