Tour the Golden Circle: One of Iceland’s most popular tours that allows you to visit the Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir Geothermal Area, and the Gullfoss waterfall. All three attractions can be done on a day trip from Reykjavik.
Visit the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon: This lake is filled with glacier water and several icebergs that ultimately make their way into the Atlantic Ocean. There are boat trips to get up close to the icebergs, or great views from the shore.
See the Dettifoss Waterfall: If you make your way up to Vatnajokull National Park in Northern Iceland, you won’t want to miss seeing this majestic waterfall, which is the most powerful in Europe.
Hike Landmannalaugar: This is one of the best treks in the country set in the Icelandic Highlands in the north. The colourful rhyolite mountains are a sight that you’ll never forget. Aside from hiking, it’s also a terrific destination for natural hot springs
