I love Tamara, in So Cal. She really took care of us and showed great customer service with an engaging personality. She also makes the best coffee in Costa Rica. The food here is very very good, fresh an...d varied. The resort is beautiful as well.

Great resort! We upgraded to a director’s suite and Star class. We didn’t use our personal agent much except to make dinner reservations, so I don’t have any feedback there. With Star class, you receive ac...cess to an extra pool that is quieter and has poolside drink service. You also receive access to an extra option for breakfast, access to a lounge with drinks and snacks, and your dinner reservations are made for you via the personal agent. We spent most of our time at the Star Class pool as it was quieter and there were more loungers available. Special shout out to Yeraly who was incredibly friendly and welcoming! We enjoyed practicing our Spanish with him. We had no complaints about the food. Our group of six ranged in age from 8 to 68, and we were always able to find options to suit everyone’s tastes. All employees were friendly and accommodating. Our 8 year old loved the nightly shows in the amphitheater! She especially loved the fire show. A couple things to consider if this is your first visit to Costa Rica. This resort is not close to any popular tourist sites, so prepare for a long drive or ride. However, if you don’t plan to leave the resort much (or are okay with a long drive) then that’s not a problem. The beach area outside the resort is okay for swimming and looking at shells (note that it’s illegal to remove them from the beach, per Costa Rican law) and there are some water excursions you can book that leave directly from the beach. This was our first visit and we stayed here for one week. From the perspective of wanting to see more of the country, I wish we’d stayed in this area half the trip and in the San Jose or La Fortuna area for the other half. There were not many activities directly on the resort that were included in the cost, but there were a few. We would definitely stay here again, though, and highly recommend this resort!
