It was very nice resort. They cleaned your room every day. The staff was wonderful. The resort had nice seatings. Very colorful. The beach area was nice and big with a lot of shaded area to sit. I would de...finitely go back. Thank you coco la palm. My vacation was nice and relaxing

We were not impressed with this "resort". On a positive note, the staff were great, polite and helpful. They made every effort to keep the grounds clean. They have water toys for free and we made use of t...he paddle boards. Also, the welcome party was fun and the reggae music night was a nice perk. That said, we did not get the walk-out room we pre-booked being told it was an upgrade to a king (actually suspect no one else wanted to walk up the three flights of stairs to our room). No frills, but lots of space. Food was over-priced and not wonderful, with 25% increase from the menu due to taxes, service charge and credit card fees. We chose to eat at other restaurants along the beach (Lily's is awesome!). I suggest you bring cash. The pool filters did not seem to run properly, as there were always things floating in the water (hair, bugs, leaves), and by the end of the week the water was so cloudy I was actually scared to go in. As we travelled as a couple, we managed, but I would not go here with children as we found it unsafe. We were accosted by aggressive locals multiple times daily pushing drugs of all kinds, and even following us down the beach when we tried to walk away. Increased security along the shoreline from Coco might help visitors be able to rest in peace without being yelled at or pressured for money. Note too that the beach is not as lovely as it used to be. Great sunsets, but some sketchy abandoned places. That said, walking down the road side is worse, so if you walk towards town, stay on the beach and cut through at the end. Good luck!
