We booked this trip with 4 other families, all with children similar ages and we chose Beaches for the ease of all-inclusive, we well as upon recommendations from others that it's perfect for families. We ...stayed in the Caribbean Village, 2 of the families stayed in the Italian Village, one in Key West and the fourth was in the French Village so we really got to see what you got for your money. Our room (Caribbean Village), was incredibly disappointing - it was basically a cave with little to no natural sunlight. We requested a first floor walkout because we have two boys who cannot be contained, and we wanted to open the door and let them run, so this was a good feature, but we were in a corner near an industrial part of the complex and it was incredibly depressing when we would return there after a beautiful sunny day. We reasoned through it that we won't spend much time in the room anyways, so it didn't matter, but the grout on the old tile was dirty, the bathroom, though cleaned as it could have been, had peeling cracked paint and the lighting was so dim, I can't describe the rest because I couldn't actually see it. Housekeeping actually skipped us one day (not great when sand is involved!), and then we figured out if we started tipping everyone in cash throughout the resort (something we were told they do not accept), that we could improve our level of customer service. We were very excited for the included water sports, but it was pretty windy most days during our stay and they flew a red or yellow flag most days. I would say they are not keene to assist you when you approach the water sports hut. Despite that, my kids loved the catamaran sailing, which was fun with the wind, and snorkeling, but nothing else could really open (they said due to wind - which it was very choppy). We chartered a boat privately which I have to say was the best decision and highlight of the trip (we should have done this every day). The kids did enjoy the kid's club in the evenings and the food was good but service was hit or miss overall. Our friend's in the French Village had a room slightly nicer than ours at a similar price point that also featured natural light, and our friend's in Key West and Italian Villages paid considerably more for their accommodations and their rooms were much more updated with a higher level of service but I'm not sure they would recommend paying more for what they received versus what we had. Overall, it was a great family week, and our kids are just happy to go anywhere with us so the room did not bother them, but my husband and I are kind of in post-vacation shock at the price tag for what we got when we arrived.

Trip to Turks and Caicos 4/5-4/12, 2025 Booking: Our travel agent was amazing at helping us make the right choices for rooms in a resort with so very many choices.She got us a poolside Italian village roo...m and include all the rooms at the concierge level. We certainly loved the room location and some of the concierge amenities like room stocking and making some reservations. The payment process through her was fabulous. The concierge transfer situation to/from the airport was awesome. Flights were done by us and really depended on wants, price and where we could fly from. Depending on which flights some were pretty full, but others were only 50-70% full. This was pretty nice. On Site: Transfers were absolutely organized and perfect. The Sandals people at the airport were very organized and once we identified ourselves had us in the right place very, very quickly. We rate this as well as the exit process a 5 star. By the way customs was a breeze but we were on the first or second flight in. The check-in process for concierge was nice. It was nice to be catered to with drinks and snacks. We were pretty early and were taken to Cricketeers Pub for lunch. That was nice. All the kids had similar nice experiences and all their rooms were ready. What was not good and did not seem to overly concern our concierge or the front desk folks, was that our room was not ready at official check-in at 3:00 PM. It was after 4 when it was finally ready. Not to be picky, but at the price paid and us wanting to make use of every minute this is unacceptable. We attempted to make reservations for our group (15 people) at Kimono’s right away because it was considered to be the best and very busy. They would not allow us to do so until we were fully checked in. Fortunately, we were able to book it, albeit a very late sitting with kids (8:45), and had a single location. (Very good) Our room locale was great; it was a short walk directly through the glass door to the pool. The first day we were unable to find lounge chairs (They were all saved) by 9 AM. Since I wake up very early, I saved seats at 5:30 AM the rest of the week right in front of our room. Getting chairs at the beach was much easier so we never “saved” those. Activities at the pool, both organized and unorganized were great. Most at the pool were designed for kids, but some were also fun for adults including music trivia , cornhole and dance.
