An excellent resort experience

We spent 2 weeks here with family and friends. The resort has well maintained grounds and a nice beach area too. All the public areas are beautiful. The pool is large with plenty of lounge chairs in both ...sun and shade. Friendly staff work hard to keep everything clean. The food at the buffet was excellent and offered a lot of variety. Service was usually prompt and the wait staff were friendly. You can order drinks in the restaurants and at the 3 bars but the bar lineups were often long. It would be nice if one of the two outside bars stayed open after 7pm. The evening entertainment wasn't that good compared to what we've seen at other resorts. But the kids liked the magic show. There really wasn't much of a night entertainment for kids although there was supposed to be something at 830 every night. Our room wasn't fancy but it was comfortable, cleaned daily, the mini bar was refilled daily and we had a nice view of the ocean.

Overall the experience was great and the food was by far superior to most resorts in the area, the hotel is very spacious with all the amenities the turtle pond was great and the foosball, ping pong and po...ol tables kept the kids occupied outside of swimming time. The swimming pool is also great with lots of space and about 5' deep in the center, the evening shows were also great and always pulled people from the crowd. Now for the bad, rooms are fairly outdated and only cleaned where your eyes can see had a hard time getting any beer put in it but a $5 bribe goes a long way, the staff at the buffets try there best but the resort is definitely understaffed and if you need a drink you might have to get them yourself, no animation crew for the pool, do not go anywhere with no shoes as the tiles are cracking and there is broken conduit lines running thru the walking path. I recommend the hotel to get more buffet staff as the workers are too busy cleaning dishes to bring drinks.
