What an amazing hotel

Set on two small private beaches with a lovely pool it was perfect. With an all inclusive I was expecting a buffet but it was ala carte which was a pleasent surprise. The food was good and the staff except...ional. There are are too many to name them all but the best were Lanie (An absolute delight!), Selwyn, Caroline, Didi, Qwame. Antigua is just stunning. A combination of chilling and adventures so a perfect holiday. The Hotel were very helpful in booking things. I would definitely go again.

This hotel is a real gem! Our experience was that Ocean Point is a small, beautifully relaxing hotel set on sandy-ish beaches. For us, a large part of the charm is that it is not a bland, corporate cha...in hotel but has a uniqueness that oozes authenticity and friendliness. We had read the reviews before visiting and were aware of the negative feedback as well as positive. Yes, it is a bit dated in places - sunbeds and bathrooms are probably due an refurb. BUT the friendly service we received from everybody was excellent. The new management are clearly evident and the menu was upgraded again even during our stay. There were the staples on the menu so each night you could have pasta or a burger or salmon (not unlike a buffet) but equally there was a different soup, 'catch of the day', premium meat or Caribbean dish to try. Personally, for us it was nice to have table service and not keep walking through others (or them walking past our table constantly) to get your food. A special mention to Lanie, Markie and all the team in the restaurant for trying to meet everyone's needs. Lanie, in particular, is a whirlwind and always wanted to make sure everyone got the table they preferred and had eaten, even walking around the bar before the restaurant closed to make sure she hadn't missed anyone! The bar service is friendly and a big shout out to Markie for liberating the mint from the kitchen to fix the perfect Mojito!! They do explain about the hot drink station on each floor and, personally, we found this very accessible and easy to use. It also cuts down on wastage in the rooms. Likewise, they encourage you to keep and refill the water bottle provided - full marks to Ocean Point for promoting sustainability and being environmentally friendly: given the beauty of their environment, they're absolutely right to want to protect it! Having read about this prior to our visit, we took a couple of our gym water bottles to refill each morning to use on the beach. It is a quiet resort, there's no blaring music around the pool or on the beach, which makes it totally relaxing. For us, we preferred the evenings in the bar, looking up at a starlit sky and listening to the waves. There were lots of people chatting to each other and making friends. If you want something a little livelier, St Johns is only about a 15 minute taxi ride away. Overall, we found Ocean Point to be a completely relaxing holiday from start to finish with friendly, accommodating staff who just wanted to make sure we had a good time ... and we did so THANK YOU!!!
