Great week at Sandals Grand Antigua!

Great week. Had many staff members go out of their way to make our Birthday celebration memorable including Jianna in housekeeping, Aeysha at the cabana, and Dillion at the Loyalty Desk, Servers Lawrence and Kenisha W, at Bayside, and Alyssa at Soy were helpful and friendly. Shamore at Epics took some great photos for us. Hotel Manager Diahann made a special effort to celebrate our Birthday and to wish us well before we left. Thank you.
Sandals Antigua made us feel like royalty in paradise!

Let me preface by saying that Grande Antigua was our first Sandals vacation, but it definitely won’t be our last. We stayed in a club level Caribbean Honeymoon beach walkout, and Dickenson Bay was steps away from our patio. The most gorgeous, calm, and tranquil beach ever. If you looked up paradise, this beach would be the definition. We could not believe how genuinely nice and accommodating every staff member was, it made us feel so honored, the added perk of the concierge 24/7 service was well worth it. When we ventured off the resort, I was surprised to see how clean, safe, and modernized the island was and I have to say, Antiguans may be the friendliest people you will ever meet. It was nice that everyone spoke English and there was no language barrier, we will cherish the friendships made with some of the Sandals staff that went above and beyond. I knew it was an “adults only” resort but had no idea that everyone vacationing there would be other couples on their honeymoon, 1st year anniversary up to their 40th anniversary. It made the trip extra special to be around other couples madly in love, and not having to worry about being hit on or any other guests being inappropriate. Whether you are the adventurous type or toes in the sand, sipping a Pina Colada, they have it all. All the Island Tours are top notch, and we did it all. I have to say our favorite was the couples massage at Red Lane Spa. Keisha and Tess are hands down, best masseuse we’ve ever had. So good that after our first Scents of Love couples massage, we booked a second and had the “ Champagne Surprise” couples massage that’s not even on the menu, just 3 days later. Highly recommend booking the Candlelight Dinner and enjoy the filet and lobster right beside the ocean. The food was amazing, and we made some amazing friends from all over the world. To be honest, my only concern is that Sandals Grande Antigua has set the bar so high and checked all the boxes, I can’t imagine any resort beating this experience. We have already booked our next trip to the just opened St. Vincent resort, and we can not wait. If you are considering Antigua, I can promise you this will be at the top of your list of best vacations ever taken.
