We had just a fantastic time! July 1 - 8 2024 room 217 What made it great, Sylvia at cafe de Paris was just a joy to be around and made our day very special Yonnel did an outstanding job taking care of our room. Dawana was a true enjoyment at Eleanor’s and We looked forward to having Kadesha at Soy because she was just wonderful Bobby in ground maintenance was very friendly and helpful Many of people working at the resort were friendly and competent but these individuals were top notch! Thanks for a wonderful trip

This was a wonderful first visit to Sandals Grande Antigua - our fifth overall Sandals visit. This particular vacation was delayed slightly due to a minor health issue I had so when we finally got there it felt very needed. Thankfully our experience was exactly what we needed, a tremendous relaxing break where we wanted for nothing. We stayed in an amazing room the LV room category and because of that probably spent the most time in the room of any holiday we’ve previously had. Our butlers made sure we had everything we needed and I’d like to thank Corri, Jessica and June for everything they did for us during our stay. The resort itself is lovely, the grounds are beautiful, the main pool is great and the beach is stunning - the best of any Sandals resort we’ve visited. I think the resort is fairly old and there were a few areas that were a bit worn and tired, but I believe some renovations will be happening at some stage. I do hope, however, that they don’t make this resort ultra modern during the renos and allow it to keep its charm. However PLEASE add some more air conditioned restaurants, that’s one area the resort is lacking, 2 bars with AC and 2 AC restaurants meant that it was a bit difficult enjoying some of our meals when it was still 30c outside. Food ranged from okay, to exquisite, but may have been the weakest element of the stay. But we never had any complaints just some dishes we’d had on other resorts didn’t stand out as much here. Everything was tasty and the menus were broad. I was a little disappointed that Soy was lacking a couple of the non sushi appetisers… mainly because it meant we couldn’t go there much for starters before going elsewhere for our mains - my wife doesn’t like sushi. Overall we had an amazing stay and we’ll definitely be coming back in a couple of years. We’re trying to see as many Sandals properties as possible before repeating any but this is high on the list to return to!
