There are better choices

Not the best experience in Aruba. Reviews say it has been updated but bathrooms are so small. Door to bathroom doesn't open all the way so if you're a large person it's a very tight bathroom. Bathroom til...es needs to be replaced with brand new. Existing tile is disgusting. Restaurants not clean, windows dirty with kids finger prints, and glasses/utensils not cleaned properly. One night we had a wine glass with someone's lipstick still on it. The location is far from the high rise hotels, you need to take a bus to get to any shopping/restaurants/casino. Not all restaurants shared with Divi are open every night so you have to make a reservation to be guaranteed a seat in a restaurant or eat at the buffet. They're currently doing some beach work so at night you heard the bull dozer and during the day they're filling sand bags. The beach and chairs do not get picked up every night. I would spend the extra money and go to a high rise hotel where they're clean and you have your plentiful choice of restaurants.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Karen M (Boston, Massachusetts) on Apr 03, 2025

Upon check in we were told that we had only booked one traveler. As a flight attendant of 25 years I was immediately suspect of this, as with the exception of airline tickets, everything always populates t...o two travelers and the price we paid, matched that of two as well. The front desk was adamant, so I asked for my airline discount, I was told that they were not offering one. Next, I said we would move to the Divi as the prices were slightly cheaper, again, we were told No, that they were sold out. I did not have WIFI at this time so I was unable to confirm this. At this point and being in a foreign country, we paid the amount they told us and went to our room. The amount was well over what was being offered online. While in our room, I signed on to Wifi and noticed that the Divi did in fact have rooms. We opted not to cause any issues and continue with our trip. Over the course of the next few days we met 2 other couples to which had similar experiences. It appears that they lure you in with this price and then when you "Back is against the wall" you are forced to pay. If it was truly an error on our part,( which is a small possibility) we would have had no problem paying, its how much extra they were charging us!! Back in the States, I have been trying to get this resolved and pay the lower rate (shown on Expedia, Travelocity,) and yet all emails have been unreturned! Its a shame as the resort is nice, but something is very amiss with their practices on check in so again, I advise, do not book here!
