Getting Amenities Delivered
Marcia M on Mar 25, 2025
Living so far away from Aruba, I wanted to have selected amenities placed in my daughters room when she and her hubby arrived for vacation. I had the pleasure of dealing with Arlyn Gongaza who is a sales ...supervisor, who made sure I had purchased the correct e-gift card and selected amenities. Her help was invaluable. I put my full trust in her abilities to get things done. You certainly have a gem of an employee at your facility.
Another Magnificent Renaissance Vacation

The staff here is amazing! Their private island beach is one of the best beaches on the island. Rosa, Lucy and the morning breakfast team was friendly and personable. The resort is a great mix of family ...and adult fun. The staff were all super friendly. In room dining was not the greatest but we only ate in 2 nights after too much sun.
Flamingo island + great sleep = 5 ??

I wanted to hate on this property so bad after I entered the less than beautiful lobby but after staying here, I honestly really liked the resort a lot and would go back! As mentioned the lobby is hideous.... When you get past that fact you can thoroughly enjoy the 2 pools, one with a slide, friendly pool service, CHEAP drinks, and awesome rooms. I got some of the best sleep of my life in this hotel. Our room had 2 rooms (definitely a little time share feeling) but the sleeping room was hands down amazing. Nice and cold, and dark. The food at the Marriott owned 5 o clock somewhere was REALLY good. But best of all we had access to the amazing flamingo island which was my favorite part of Aruba. Highly recommend this hotel!
Wonderful Anniversary Trip!

We stayed in the adults only Marina tower, and I wasn't sure what to expect since it is not directly on the beach. Renaissance Island completely makes up for that and makes it worth it! We had a rental car... and spent 2 days beach hopping and spent 2 days just relaxing at Renaissance Island. Renaissance Island was by far our favorite beach of all! We had a massage on the beach one day and it was one of the best experiences ever! There were plenty of chairs and areas with shade to relax under. We snorkeled near the rocks and saw lots of beautiful fish. I tried to book a private cabana but they were all full and I'm actually glad I didn't - there were plenty of nice spots. I am Marriott Platinum and used Nightly Upgrade Awards to upgrade to an ocean view room. We were pleasantly surprised upon checking in that the hotel offered Marriott Platinum members free breakfast at 3 of their restaurants! I believe this was just a promotion they were offering for a limited time. We had the breakfast buffet at Aquarius and at Fresco. The food is good at both of these but had to fight off the birds at Fresco and did not enjoy that as much. We had breakfast at Papagayo on Renaissance Island more than once and it was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, overall we had a wonderful experience and will be back.
