May Girls Trip - Great Relaxing place with good food.

Stayed at Divi Aruba the last week in May with a friend. We shared a Beachside Double queen room and were assigned room 363. It is directly down the path from the Sandpiper Bar. We loved the location as it... was nice a quiet and situated right between a pool and the beach, with the bar steps away. The room itself was nothing to write home about. Standard 2 Queen bed room, smaller bathroom with no shelving or storage areas. Room was cleaned daily and we were often left with "art" made from parts of the bedding or a towel etc. No real issues with the room as we did not spend much time in it, it was great for us. We ate at Red Parrot, Ginger, and Paparazzi during our stay. All meals were well presented and delicious. All staff/waiters at the restaurants were very nice and helpful often left us laughing. Red Parrot was by far our favorite. We also ate at the buffet a few times for breakfast/lunch. Somethings are standard All-Inclusive buffet items and others were a touch better. I liked that some items were made fresh. The smoothy bar and salad bar were a nice touch and option to have. We also visited the coffee Cafe once. We were fine with the coffee available in our room and are not big coffee drinkers during the day, so one stop was enough for us. Both of our drinks were good and prepared quickly. Majority of the time there was a wait. We each enjoyed a 50 min relaxation massage and both enjoyed it. Perfect pressure and a quiet relaxing area. The receptionist was a bit much and didn't seem to enjoy her job, we thought it was a bit odd she would be up front with some of the weird things she said and eye rolling - didn't keep us from enjoying our time at the spa. As for the bar staff, this was probably the most hit and miss area for us. Some would be super friendly and others acted as if asking for a drink from them was bothering them. Then there were a few where we actually had to walk to a different side of the bar in order to get service because we were just ignored. This will dollars in our hand and tipping $1 at least for every drink ordered. Again, small issue and didn't take away from the overall experience. After all you are on vacation! :) We shopped in the gift shops and everyone there was helpful, even when the computers went down, they had a plan in place to keep guests moving through and we didn't have a very long wait while they hand wrote our receipt. Check in and check out was a breeze. The gentleman at the front of the resort were always sure to ask if we needed a taxi or were waiting on the shuttle or a bus. The beach is FANTASTIC. That is what we went for and we spent 4 full days - cloudy or not - sitting in beach chairs and enjoying the sound of the ocean. Never had an issue finding a chair to pull out by the shore or sit under a palapa. We went at different times several days and something was always available. Pools - we stopped at the one closest to our room for maybe 20 minutes 1 time and that was it our only stop at a pool, so can't comment on those. I think there was one that we never even saw as it was on the other side of the resort. We didn't experience much nightlife while there except for parts of a few of the shows each night so I can't comment on that. I know near the lobby was much more lively than it was on the each end of the resort. Overall it was a great relaxing vacation with a clean room and good food and I would recommend it to couples or for a girls/guys trip. I would not recommend it for a family especially those with toddlers or a little older as there was not a pool area for them to play and neither of the pools we saw had a zero entry area. Which I like for little ones myself. If they are beach kids, it would probably work well for them.

Louisa is the best bartender ever! she is so nice and makes the best drinks. she was always giving the best excursions spots with the biggest smile. she made our vacation amazing!!! the food was great and ...all of the staff was amazing! would definitely recommend divi!!
