The resort itself was beautiful and the room very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and the claw foot tub was a really nice bonus. That said the lack of air conditioning unit in the rooms was reall...y surprising. We were there in the Spring so the nights were cool enough to cool the room down, but I can't imagine being there in the heat of the Summer, it would be way too hot to sleep. I also think the hotel should provide tokens for the bus, because getting to the hotel from downtown by foot would have been incredibly difficult as it's uphill up the mountain. However, if you can figure out the Roam bus app, the transit system in Banff is excellent, I just don't think the average tourist or elderly individual could figure it out on their own. Lastly and more importantly, we were there on business and booked via a work credit card. At check in I confirmed they did have that card on file and the room was to be charged to that card which they did confirm. Then at check out they said they had no other card on file other than my personal and I had to be charged for it on my own credit card. They also charged one night already months ago during booking, which we did have on our work card statement already, then argued with us that this was just a hold, and would be refunded. So they charged our work card for a night months ago, then claimed they were going to refund it, then force me to pay for all of it on my personal card... and I still had to pay a different deposit upon check in. None of that made any sense, so beware of that if dealing with them for business travel.

Wonderful location. Amazing experience. We also animals of property which was a nice surprise. The staff was very friendly and helpful with ideas and suggestions of what to do in Banff. We loved the f...ireplace in our room The bathroom was very spa like.

Great staff and facility. Every staff member I encountered was very welcoming and helpful. The room I had was a suite with the kitchenette that was well equipped for light meals. Amazing views from walking... across the street from the property.

Cosy lodge nestled in the hills with great views of the majestic mountains. Staff are very friendly. Restaurant could use a broader menu and more vegetarian and pescatarian options. I stayed during a busin...ess event so didn't take full advantage of all the hotel and area has to offer. It is a quiet place with a small restaurant and I imagine in peak season, it will get busy and hard to get. table.

We arrived at 01.30 hours after a long journey and the receptionist could not have been more friendly or helpful. He helped carry our cases to the lodge where we were keen to get some much needed sleep. Th...e beds were very comfortable, and the location was quiet with the occasional train horn in the distance as it went through Banff town (not anything the hotel can affect). The reception staff were amazing booking taxis for us when required. However, it is easy to walk into town (25 minutes downhill) and the No.2 bus stops on the main road outside the hotel and is reasonably priced after you download the token transit you purchase tickets via the app. One minor criticism is that the bathroom was slightly dated, but I may be being picky as we would return.
