Great Location, Decent Property

We stayed here for two nights as part of a Western Canadian roadtrip. The location is great, you can walk anywhere in the Downtown core very easily. We are Platinum and were upgraded to a suite without e...ven asking which I appreciated. Our king bed suite was spacious but a little odd, the bedroom had no windows and not even a/c so we needed to keep the doors open to get some air flow from the living room. They have a hybrid club lounge/Pantry: lots of snacks to choose from 24 hours a day including lots of soft drinks, chips, fruit and even ice cream. They offer a small breakfast sprear in the morning and some appies in the evening. Only thing is that there's only 4 chairs in the entire lounge so you either have to eat breakfast standing up or take it back to your room.
Solid stay in downtown core

Quick 2 night work trip here. All staff members I came in contact with were great. Self parking was convenient and easy. Efficient check in and check out. Updated and clean room and washroom. As previously... mentioned by another reviewer the hotel is right beside a fire hall so be prepared to be woken up fairly consistently. I especially like the spacious and well equipped gym, the coffee shop on the ground floor and the pub attached to the lobby.
Deceptive first impression

On first impressions the hotel seemed great. Quick check in. Spacious room, bathroom and shower. Limited supply of amenities. No kettle to boil water for tea. No PowerPoint where coffee maker is placed. No... directory provided in room. Reception staff didn't provide any instructions re facilities and opening times easier. I had to enquire about breakfast and check out time. On a positive note: quite and efficient aircon.
Nice Hotel. Good spot for exploring Calgary.

On a recent trip to Calgary, we stayed at the Delta Hotel on 4th Avenue. The Delta chain (part of Marriott), is a good hotel chain. This particular hotel is a close walk to the Calgary Tower and the S...addledome (if it's not too cold out). Also a convenient short walk to shopping and restaurants. The hotel has reasonably priced indoor parking for guests.
Love the staff!

The overall experience at this hotel was quite lovely. The staff doing check in were AMAZING. The service was second to none. There were just a bunch of little things that would probably make me book els...ewhere next time. First off, the scent they have in the lobby is incredibly overwhelming. If you are sensitive to scents or have allergies. this will definitely bug you. We dined at the restaurant one night and the smell was obviously there too. I got a head ache over dinner. The supper and drinks were delicious though and the servers are great. Parking was also another challenge. It is not abundant. They do have oversized parking for trucks on the first level though. If you have a tall SUV park on the oversized, not on level 2 or 3. The elevators are also carded, great for safety, annoying if you’re ordering skip the dishes or delivery. The rooms are very cozy and feel modern. The bottled water is a nice touch. The thermostat is touchy. You bump it down 0.5 a degree and it blows cold air and the room gets way too cold. The water pressure was pretty terrible but the water stayed hot. There isn’t great lighting in the room so it’s kind of dark. The beds are very comfy and the pillows are great with a few different kinds so you can find one that suits what you like. Housekeeping left a dirty cleaning rag in my room the first day and they skipped cleaning my room all together the second day so housekeeping can definitely use some improvement. The hotel is also poorly insulated and is right beside a fire station so that is something to be aware of. I’m not sure if there is a quieter side of the hotel or not but my room is sure loud. The little coffee shop downstairs is also a great addition. They have lots of food options. They definitely could have used a second person working there though as it is quite slow in the morning.
