Worst service ever for a Marriott property
parichey (Seattle, Washington) on Mar 16, 2025
I am giving a 1 star review to this hotel due to service (or lack off) provided by the hotel staff. The check-in took more than an hour because there was only 1 person working the front desk at 5 PM (when ...the regular check in time is 4pm). Same experience when trying to get towels. The towel rack is supposed to close at 6pm, but they were closed at 5:45pm. Once you head to the concierge for the towels, they tell you that they can’t help you and that you need to talk to front desk. Poole are open until 10pm, but you can’t get towels post 5:45pm or even earlier depending on the mood of the staff. We had the same issue with the hotel staff across the board, its restaurant staff, concierge , front desk or anyone at the hotel.
Overpriced

The staff are great and the food is good, but the adult pool is full of parents pushing their babies and toddlers around with no problem. There are not enough umbrellas and shade at the pool after 8am. The... elevator in a 10 floor tower was broken our entire stay. There are no discernible benefits for a gold elite member. The room rate was very high for a fairly basic Marriott room. There is a $50 resort fee for god knows what when there are no chairs with an umbrella after 8am and despite this hotel being on the beach, an umbrella and 2 chairs will cost you $85. Can’t recommend.
