Please note there are ongoing revitalization efforts at OUTRIGGER Kona Resort and Spa to enhance the resort. Although some parts of the resort are renewed and open (lobby, 70% of rooms, pool, fitness center, restaurant space), some visible projects will continue through June 18, 2024. All guest services and activities are available. Spa facilities are closed through 2024.

Great option on Big Island

Outrigger is a wonderful find with easy access to Kona airport and other excursion spots if necessary. Hotel has beautiful views, awesome amenities and friendly staff. Definitely would recommend this hotel to friends heading to the Big Island!

Positive: Great location for manta Ray snorkeling or viewing, nice pools, not overly crowded, hotel staff was nice. Negative: 1. Construction is noisy 2. Game room looks finished but it was closed during our 7 night stay 3. Laundry machines need quarters and a couple of times when we went to get change they only had enough for one load to wash and dry. 4. 8 fitness center gym machines didn’t work. 6 of them have out of order signs but 2 others need them also. 5. Various leaking ceilings (manta ray viewing dock area) 6. Evening pool towel dispensers are frequently out of towels
