Great Location

We stayed in the hotel for two nights as part of a longer trip, 2 adult and 2 children/tweens. Firstly, the location of this hotel is brilliant-right on the middle of the strip. We stayed in a 2 queen ro...om and upgraded when we arrived to a fountain view room - which was brilliant with a bath and separate shower. Beds were comfortable, although one gripe when we first arrived was that there were only 2 pillows on each bed, rather than 4; when I called housekeeping to ask for 4 more pillows, they told me I could only have 2 because the rules were “only 2 per room”, which seemed crazy given our 4-person occupancy. After two tries, I did get the 4 pillows, it was just frustrating that I’d had to put an argument together for it. Having learned from previous trips to vegas, there are no tea or coffee facilities on the hotel, so we brought a travel kettle and teabags etc. You do have a fridge, ice bucket and paper cups in the room. We bought drinks at a local supermarket and kept them in the fridge - it saves you some $, where everything is super pricey. We used the pool once, towels are available for free in the pool area and you can use sun loungers for free (although they are limited) or rent a sun bed for $75. Unlike other vegas pool/bed combos, this one wasn’t a “min spend on the bar” - it was $75 plus drinks, which seemed poor to me. Saying this, the colleagues who work in the pool area are brilliant, friendly and helpful. If you are driving, be sure to drop your cases at the valet area, as the main car park is a walk through miracle mile. Parking is $20 a day, which is charged to your room via a card they give you to get out of the car park. We thought this was pretty reasonable, given the location of the hotel we parked when we arrived and then walked everywhere from the hotel, never needing to go back to the car. Didn’t eat in the hotel, so can’t comment on restaurants. All in all, we were happy with this stay. Having previously stayed at Bellagio and Cosmopolitan, there isn’t a huge amount to differentiate from the hotel stay experience.
Not What It Used To Be.

Did not enjoy our visit to Planet Hollywood. Parking was expensive, gambling was tight and dinner was extremely expensive and nothing special for the money. PH is not what it used to be, they nickel and ...dime you to death. Seems greed is taking over.
5 day mini vegas trip

Very nice central hotel. We stayed in basic room and believe me it’s definitely not basic, huge room and bathroom, massive comfortable bed and a walk in wardrobe . Hotel was super clean. Restaurants and ba...rs a tad expensive in my opinion but I’m from the UK where it’s a lot cheaper. The only thing that wasn’t so good was the ridiculously long wait for checking in. More attention needs to be done in this area. But overall excellent stay at this hotel.
Disappointing Experience at Planet Hollywood

I wanted to share our recent and deeply disappointing experience at Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. I sent emails to corporate before posting here, but did not receive a single response... Fr...om the moment we arrived, the visit began on the wrong foot. After pulling into the valet area and waiting over 20 minutes for assistance, despite being parked directly in front of the staff, it took multiple attempts to flag someone down before our car was finally taken. Upon entering our room (panorama suite), we were shocked to find a toilet clogged before it had even been used. The most frustrating moment, however, came when my family sat down for dinner at Strip Steakhouse (Great food & service BTW). In the middle of our meal, I had to leave the table because my daughter was unable to access our room as her key wouldn’t work. I rushed to the front desk for replacement keys, only to discover the new keys didn’t work either. Security and engineering were called, but they couldn’t resolve the issue. Their only solution was to suggest I return to the front desk, waiting through long lines again, to get new keys from someone other than the last front desk person, with no confidence that those keys would even work. Meanwhile, my family’s dinner sat cold at the restaurant as we tried to sort out this mess. I had no choice but to leave the suite doors propped open so we could access the room later. The key card issue didn’t end there. Throughout our stay, we and several other guests, faced consistent problems with the elevator system. Approximately 4-5 out of every 10 guests we encountered struggled to get their key cards to work, resulting in wasted time riding up and down multiple floors, only to return to the lobby for assistance. This experience was a complete letdown, wasting both our time and money. Frankly, we expected much better from Caesars Entertainment. Luckily some of the staff (Jose @ front desk and others) were friendly and helpful. Our room was also well appointed and clean. I hope Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino takes this feedback seriously and implement changes to prevent future guests from enduring a similar experience.
Practical

Whilst occupying an excellent spot on the Strip, this Hollywood resort is definitely at the lower end of the quality scale as is indicated by any price and practical comparison. The rooms are spacious, co...mfortable and well-equipped, the bathroom was extremely good. The lift system is very efficient and there are cafeterias in and around in the various malls to suit most tastes. The staff are used to dealing with heavy concentrations of arrivals and departures and act accordingly, whilst the transport availability system functions well. This is a functional resort that serves well as a centralised hub for visiting the whole of Las Vegas and the surrounds, don’t forget to book well in advance for anything even slightly different from the humdrum activities.
