Great Staff! But the rooms didn't feel like Vegas

The D Hotel is ideally located on Fremont Street, close to popular downtown attractions, public parking, and convenient stores like Walgreens. The staff deserved 5 stars! The check-in staff, particularly Y...adira and Jason, provided exceptional service by helping arrange a surprise birthday setup for my sister, which truly made her day special. Irisay from housekeeping also stood out with her positivity and dedication, ensuring our room was well-maintained after initial scheduling hiccups. Additionally, the host at Bacon Nation impressed us with her efficiency and thoughtfulness, and the Coney Island gyros were deliciously fresh and meaty. However, the rooms lacked basic amenities like complimentary bottled water, a refrigerator, a microwave, or a coffee maker. Despite seemingly low rates, resort fees made the costs comparable to other hotels. The casino was small, and the limited dining options closed early, leaving us to venture out for coffee or snacks. The elevator system was also unconventional, requiring adjustment as the buttons were outside the elevators. Once I chose the wrong floor and had to step out of the elevator to order the correct floor. While the staff and location were highlights, the overall experience felt underwhelming compared to neighboring properties like their sister resort, the Circa, where the amenities and convenience were noticeably superior. A few small improvements, such as in-room coffee makers and extended snack bar hours, could significantly enhance the guest experience.
Disappointed in service
Tim D on Dec 26, 2024
We visit Fremont 4 times a year usually staying at The Plaza or Golden Nugget This time we chose to stay at “The D” as we were there for Halloween (10/29-11/1 ) the location was ideal. Parking was easy in ...and out and check in was quick greeted nice as well. We picked a premium corner king room which was a bit dated but clean. The bed though was a real issue, the mattress was wore out on one side to the point you could feel the springs. I called the front desk to see what they could do and was told they would replace the mattress which we assumed would be the next morning, never happened, on 2nd day I went to the front desk And was told they would take care of it, Never happened… upon leaving I gave a review which other than the bed Issue I liked the hotel and gave mostly a positive review. Never got a response… Not looking for anything free… Just a little respect.
