Cost I booked a double room at The Cosmopolitan on Expedia for $143 per person per night, with parking at $20 per day. Service Although the hotel is labeled as 5 star, service quality was less than 3 stars. The hotel doesn’t provide bottled water, citing eco-friendliness, and also lacks complimentary kettles in rooms, though microwaves are available at request. Strangely, unlimited bottled water supply can be seen at the fitness center. Nighttime room service was frustratingly slow. My midnight request for slippers and toiletries wasn’t fulfilled until 3 a.m., despite several follow-ups calls to front desk. However, daytime requests were much quicker. Facilities and Views The views are a highlight—my room overlooked the Eiffel Tower, the Sphere, and the Ferris wheel. The Chelsea Tower has a heated outdoor pool, while the Boulevard Tower offers better views. The fitness center overlooks the Bellagio fountains, and there’s an ice rink during November ~ December. Parking and Convenience The parking garage lacks numbered labels, making it very hard to locate your car. So note your parking location. As an MGM property, the hotel allows free parking at other MGM locations with your room key. This is very convenient for exploring the Strip, as half of hotels/casinos on the Strip belong to MGM and none of their parking were free.
“From Loyalty to Doubt: A Concerning Decline at The Cosmopolitan”

We have been loyal guests of The Cosmopolitan since it first opened in 2010. Every stay has been exceptional, making it our favorite hotel in Las Vegas. However, we find ourselves apprehensive about our upcoming trip in February after reading a slew of recent negative reviews here on TripAdvisor. We were surprised to learn that The Cosmopolitan has been acquired by MGM Resorts International, and it’s concerning to see so many comments suggesting that standards have declined since the takeover. What’s even more disappointing is the lack of responses from the hotel to these reviews, whether positive or negative—something we’ve not seen from them before. Although we haven’t traveled yet, we felt compelled to share a disappointing experience we had during the planning of our trip. We hoped to enhance our stay by upgrading to a Bungalow suite for the last three days of our holiday, particularly to celebrate my 70th birthday in style. However, our interactions with Elijah, the Small Groups & Celebrations Manager, were far from what we expected. His dismissive attitude during our phone call and email correspondence made us feel unwelcome and as though our business wasn’t valued. In a city known for its hospitality, kindness and respect should come standard—especially for a milestone celebration like this. Unfortunately, this experience has left us questioning whether The Cosmopolitan is still the right choice for us. Combined with the recent negative reviews, we are seriously considering canceling our booking and looking elsewhere. We hope the management takes this feedback (not sure they read them anyway) seriously and strives to bring back the exceptional standards that once made this hotel stand out.
