Fantastic Experience

This was our first all inclusive to stay at after doing several cruises together. We didn't know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised with the quality of service, food, etc. The staff was extremely... attentive and gracious. Whenever we had any issues in our room the staff was VERY quick to take care of us! Even their chief of security was great when we couldn't get our safe open. He was there quickly to help us out. The dining staff was so kind and attentive and all staff on the property were this way. You can tell they are well trained! Most spoke good English with a handful of exceptions. The nightly entertainment was a little lame, but we didn't come for that anyway. The staff worked very hard to take care of the grounds and the room and they were exceptional! There's plenty of activities to do in the area, but there's a nice beach here and lots of daytime activities if you just want to stay on the property. They do have a car rental office on the property if you don't want to have a car for multiple days. Although the property is very large, there are rides to and from venues if you request them. For my wife and I in our 60s we just liked getting the excise that our bodies needed. Overall, we had a great time and recommend this to anyone!
Honestly what more could you ask for

My room was in building 23 if that tells you anything--overlooking the bay. It was beautiful, like in a movie. All of my food was free and delicious. There were two pools. There was a shuttle if you wanted... one--I went during the dry season, so I used the shuttle a lot because it was hot. The room was all-inclusive so the food was free and you could eat at the Oriental and the Italian. There were tours to sign up for. It's better to rent a car to do Mount Verde--remember that I said that. Just don't go without people you know. That being said, Mount Verde has the highest bungee jumping. The tours were good, but don't do white water rafting during the dry season because the rivers are low. For one week I spent $1800 plus tips to stay in Costa Rica, have delicious food available to me, have friendly people around to do stuff with, have pools to hang out in, and tours to do if I so chose, games to play and events to do, and music at night. I didn't have to leave the resort if I didn't want to but I was there alone so I left and did tours and stuff. I attended my buddy's wedding at another resort while I was there. The only negatives were there was limited access to water when you really needed it and it took forever to get any, and there was no way to break my cash down into $5's and $10's so I tipped a bunch of people $20 bills but I ran out of money faster that way and could not tip everyone. I would say if you go here, go with friends or a partner, don't go alone, and you will have all that you need for a week.
