DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!

Whew! I don't even know where to start with this place, there was so many things wrong with it. I came here the end of June into July for my 50th birthday. I came with my 2 daughters and my sister. My daughters and I stayed in one room and my sister had her own room. I was very impressed with the place when we drove up and walked into the main lobby. The landscaping was really nice and you could tell that they put a lot of work and effort into making it look nice. But it was very deceiving because once we walked into the rooms we were very disappointed. It looked like they had not made any updates to them since the place was built. There was mildew or mold all over the room and it smelled like a wet basement. There was water dripping from the ceiling and down on the floors around the baseboards. It was hard to sleep every night because the beds felt damp and smelled so bad. I would throw the pillows on the floor and sleep without them because they smelled like spoiled milk. When I got home I had to wash the clothes that I didn't even wear because they smelled so bad. Our bags and luggage had mildew or mold on them by the time we left so we had to scrub them and disinfect them when we got home. The service was just as bad as the room. Everyday we basically had to beg for basic things like towels, washcloths and toilet paper. There were 3 people staying in the room but on the days they did actually give us washcloths, they would only give us 1 or 2. I had to either go to the front desk or chase down one of the cleaning ladies to get more. Every time we needed something which was everyday, we had to walk to the front desk to ask because the telephone in the room didn't work. One day they decide not to even bother to clean our room. So once again we had to go up to the front desk to complain. The people at the front desk were extremely rude to us. Each time they would give us attitude as if we were asking for something extra when we were just asking for basic stuff that they should be providing their customers. The food was not great. It seemed like they were just recycling the same food each day. We went into town and ate at some of the restaurants on some days because we just couldn't eat that food everyday. I was so excited about going to Costa Rica for my 50th birthday. My experience at this resort just ruined it for me. I really wish I had stayed somewhere else. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere nicer.

Tropical not Paradise

Pros – Service staff especially Adina was amazing! Juicy was able to assist with setting up transportation and our day excursion, she was great. Cons – Reservation staff, Michelle and Jonathon, dismissive and in order to have concerns addressed it took us following up multiple days and requesting to speak with upper management. We were a group and had 3 rooms, 2 were suites. The concerns were rooms not ready for our arrival and had to wait over 3 hours when told it would be 10-15 minutes. Rooms were dirty and MOLD in the bathrooms in multiple areas, telephones in the room did not work (in any rooms), AC would turn off and not stay on, there were leaks in the bathrooms, WIFI would come in and out, elevator was broken and no assistance bringing bags to rooms, was provided a room change, to again have AC issues with it turning off and rooms dirty. The individuals in the suite were not provided a comparable room change and were informed they would give a cleaning and again was disappointed. There were 4 other groups with the same experience. Overall – staff great, however facility is poorly managed! Wouldn’t recommend staying there!
