My wife and I went to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica for 7 nights from December 11 to the 18th 2024. Here are the Pluses: Great room and our first time with a swim-up which we loved. Our location was very quiet. The Gym had a Sauna. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful Lobster Dinner in our room. It was superb! Minuses: There isn't a walkable beach; the shuttle to go to the other Sandals wasn't leaving until 9am, and we like to walk early. They changed the complimentary massage policy. Now, they give you money toward a SPA service, and in our case, we would have had to spend $220 for a massage. Before, just the taxes, a small fee and tips. Also, no more of the complimentary bottle of Rum. The difference in temperatures between the outside (beautifully warm), and the inside of the restaurants, gift shop, guest service etc., was too great. Freezer like!

I’d heard so many good things about Sandals that we and another couple tried it. Total mistake. First night our friends were up all night due to machinery running near their room. The rest of our time there, except for Sunday, the resort had someone digging in the ocean/shoreline all day everyday. This had the water dirty and was totally annoying while we were trying to relax. Room service they advertised was a joke. We could only reach someone for service one time while we were there. The majority of the time nobody would answer and one time they told us to call back at a different time of day. Another problem was that at one point our service was so rude I finally had to get a manager to address the situation. The managers discussed with me and thankfully I did not have to deal with that employee again. We did have some excellent service at different times and places. Shout out to Robert at Le Jardinier who was by far the most polite, professional, and accommodating individual I met while I was there. Robert was able to overcome the negative and help us have our last night there on a positive experience. Another employee we met while we were there was Cali. She was a definite positive for the resort. Very polite and helpful the entire stay. Rooms were nice and clean. Food was great.
