Hospitality is making a huge comeback!

I cannot say enough about the beyond exceptional customer service we experienced during our stay! As a frequent traveler, I have been sad to witness the rapid decline of genuine hospitality post-COVID — bu...t this stay gave me hope that customer service is experiencing a comeback! I was so impressed with how in-tune, kind, attentive and absolutely above-and-beyond all staff members were! From wonderfully kind and helpful Willie at check-in who went out of his way to accommodate our requests and helped me to understand the benefits of my Bonvoy status, to bellman Cory who not only gave us directions but personally escorted us to our destination so we wouldn’t get lost (while giving us a wonderful history and insiders’ perspective and tips on the hotel), to numerous other staff, including a kind worker who asked us if we needed directions and escorted us (we must have looked lost a lot during our stay) ?? to the kind cashier at the Delta Marketplace (I didn’t get her name but she was originally from Chicago and so very sweet!) and other staff at locations throughout the hotel. We felt genuinely welcome, and it seemed that staff were happy to interact with us and truly enjoyed their jobs — it was refreshing when so many experiences at other hotels have left me feeling burdensome to staff! Clearly, the team has been trained exceptionally well in how to offer an above-and-beyond, first-class customer experience. The grounds were immaculate and so well-maintained and the gardens are breathtaking as always. Food options were decent, any time I have stayed I’ve felt there is room for additional options there, but the customer experience made this stay our most delightful one yet! The rooms are very comfortable, the beds were soft yet firm, perfect shower temp/pressure and our balcony room had the wonderful sound of the waterfall outside our window that helped us sleep like babies! ?? Yes, it is expensive, but if one stops to consider all that must go into maintaining this incredible place, it’s certainly understandable! Amazing job to all and thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful atmosphere, service incredibly lacking! Don’t waste your money staying here. Do come in and visit the beautiful atmosphere. But then go somewhere else for better service! We paid for a suite... and services were terrible. I requested daily room cleaning. It was only done twice in a five day stay, one of those times they didn’t clean until almost 6pm. When it was done, none of our room service disposable “dinnerware” was removed. All room service is brought in carry out bags with plastic utensils. We requested regular silverware to cut tougher food. We were told that they “don’t have any”. What is that? Waterpark: this one is my own fault. I mistakenly believed that by just being a guest here would be admitted to the waterpark as part of our over $500 a night stay. This is not the case there isn’t even guaranteed admission as they cap the number of people allowed per day, it was an additional charge per day per person. We opted for the subpar, included in the rate, indoor pool instead. Laundry services: requested two days in a row, never picked it up. Could not communicate with virtually any staff. When we called the concierge about how to get to Honky Tonk row, the young lady could not speak English, did not understand me and then said she didn’t know a “Honky Tonk row”. Is this NASHVILLE? I expected much more from a resort where we, stupidly, paid over $500 a night! Despite the beautiful indoor atmosphere, save your money and stay elsewhere!!! PS….No hot water the first day, finally heated up after a 15 minute constant run of water. Although, every 2-3 minutes a freezing cold stream of water for another minute then back. to hot.
