A lot missing to feel like a 5* star hotel

Atlantis review We’ve just arrived back from the Bahamas. We absolutely loved the island, the beaches are beautiful and we will definitely look to go back. Unfortunately, the cove on the other hand has not... won us over. - I slipped over on the floor with my 1 year old daughter in arms when we arrived. We told staff the floor was slippy, there wasn’t even as much as an apology. - Our balcony stuck out and rubbish was thrown down from rooms above, this included a condom out of the wrapper!! This was left by the cleaners for 2 days before it eventually was cleaned. - The bath and shower wasn’t cleaned, there would be sand left in there. - The food was below average, having a 1 year old food choices were mainly chicken nuggets & chips, hot dog & chips, grilled cheese sandwich especially at lunchtime. - Pools were full of sand, random items such as goggles and spades dumped at the bottom. In 10 days we didn’t see a pool maintaince team once there cleaning. - Walls in the room are SO thin! We heard everything next door from drunk arguments, to making love. - Once we had checked out the guest WiFi no longer worked. When questioned were told we could then only use the complimentary WiFi in the main lobby, which isn’t ideal in the first place when our pick up wasn’t until 6pm and my data didn’t work for anyone to contact us. Secondly, the complementary WiFi didn’t even work! Eventually when I pointed this out a manager did log me in. (I have never know guests checking out to not be allowed to continue to use guest WiFi until departure. - When we checked out my husband spoke with the staff about getting the cases from the room. Once we were getting ready to leave the receptionist was extremely rude telling him he should have got a ticket for the luggage, this was until he pointed out it was actually her he had dealt with in the first place!! - It took asking 3 people and being sent back and forth across the hotel to find where the transit lounge was. Once we found it I had to shower my daughter in what was a freezing cold shower before our 9 hour night flight home. It was an expensive trip for 10 days to feel a lot of things were missing for a 5* hotel.

Always a pleasure but the rooms could use an update. Visit the Cove pool and enjoy a cocktail and laugh with Raymond at the bar! Easy to get around the property. Beautiful entrance with very friendly sta...ff. My understanding is The Cove pool area is going to have a big renovation at the end of the summer.
