Exiting the Parking lot is a nightmare
Missy M (Sarasota, Florida) on Jun 02, 2025
The over all hotel was very nice. Designed a bit strange and difficult to navigate to get to the conference center. But the reason we will NOT go back is when you try to leave there is a gate you have to... go through. They check to see if you have paid to park. However, when 1200 people get released from a conference at the same time, there is a line that forms because of this process. It took us 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot. this is not a very customer service friendly process and we will NEVER stay again because it. There are too many other hotels around that do not have this ridiculous policy.
Excellent hotel would highly recommend as part of Virgin package

This is an excellent hotel in a prime location for all the parks. All the Disney parks are between 10-15 mins drive and Universal around 25 mins (not accounting for any traffic of course). Walmart a 10 min... drive as is other supermarkets such as Target etc. Check in was simple and we parked no issue. Some days were busier than others and we were a little further away from the tower but never failed to get a spot. Booking through virgin meant parking and resort fees were included which you need to check as if not parking would be expensive. The room was fine (floor 9 tower 1) and was cleaned daily although sheets were not changed. Room was spacious with a lounge area that had it own TV, two queen beds and shower room. Air con was good, no more noisy than any other air con in hotels. View from room was nice especially in the storms. The hotel itself is clean with many different dining and drinking options. Starbucks on a morning was a godsend although the weekend saw the queue for that leading to an hours wait. Pool area was fine. We were there over memorial weekend and that Saturday and Sunday was extremely busy at the pool. But other than that sunbeds were plentiful and towels on tap. Buying things in hotel are pricey as you’d expect. There is a CVS across the road and an absolute gem of a pizza shop where you’ll pay half of what you would in the market inside hotel. However for ease sometimes the hotel market was ideal, especially the cakes and ice cream. We ate at the Stadium Bar which was nice. Usual burgers etc but all done really well. Again, not the cheapest but worth a visit. Staff were excellent and attentive and the place was kid friendly. Be warned the kids menu portions are not far off adult sizes!! Just be mindful of hidden charges. Don’t use the water in the room that’s provided as they will charge you $14 to replace it. Head over to CVS and buy bottled water for a fraction of the price. Overall we had a fantastic stay at this hotel and would return as well as highly recommending it.
