Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts Refurbishment
From January 2025 through June 2025, Stormalong Bay and Shipwreck Pool at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear construction work during daytime hours. During this time, Guests are welcome to swim at the Tidal, Admiral and Dunes Cove leisure pools.
Disney Skyliner - Aerial Gondola at Walt Disney World Resort – Scheduled Maintenance
From January 25, 2026, through January 31, 2026, Disney Skyliner - Aerial Gondola at Walt Disney World Resort, will be closed for maintenance. The Skyliner is the primary mode of transportation for guests at Disney's Riviera Resort to reach both EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Other resorts on the line include Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort. Guests at Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas and Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts can also the system for access to Hollywood Studios.
During the closure, complimentary bus service will be available from each of the Skyliner resorts to the impacted theme parks.
Overview
A sandy white beach along a shimmering lake creates a feeling reminiscent of the lazy days of summer along the eastern seaboard. Relaxed yet luxurious. Disney's Beach Club Resort shares an array of amenities with its "sister resort" just a few feet away – a sand-bottom pool, health club, full-service marina and a beachfront promenade with direct access to Epcot as well as the unique shops and restaurants at Disney's BoardWalk Entertainment District.

After purchasing a ticket, the guest should visit www.StartYourDisneyExperience.com to create a profile (if you do not already have a profile), and, using the confirmation number that WestJet Vacations will provide, link the ticket to the profile and then make park reservations.

We absolutely loved this hotel, and we even went when Stormalong was closed. Rooms were a good size and clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff were nice and helpful. Good food options, and it was ...wonderful getting to walk to Epcot. Highly recommend!
Bad management, rude employees

Checked in on April 1, 2025 to take a nap while visiting Epcot. Checked in at 3pm and at 5pm a fire alarm went off. Within a minute there was an employee banging on our door telling us to get out. He wo...ke us up and started yelling at us. I asked if smoke or fire had been seen and he said no. I said every major hotel chain in the country tells guests to stand by during a fire alarm until smoke or fire is seen. He said he was told by management to force everyone out of the rooms. So we are running down the stairs without our shoes. We end up waiting about 30 minutes outside in the hot sun. We almost needed medical attention. I am absolutely shocked at the poor decision making of management. Its unthinkable that a major hotel corporation does not know how to handle a fire alarm. It turns out that there was no fire, and no one pulled the alarm, which means it was a maintenance issue. I went to the front desk to ask if they give credit or compensation for our disruption that was caused by their lack of maintenance. The front desk said, "we do not give compensation for maintenance issues." I will most likely be disputing my credit card for this disaster that Disney created.
