Great Stay, But A Waste of Water

I stayed at the hotel for almost a week for a business conference. I arrived early and I was able to check in early which I found helpful. The hotel has seven floors and three elevators - all decorated wit...h rock n roll memorabilia. The room had a king-size bed with an ocean view overlooking the Hard Rock stage area. Loved having four large pillows on the bed to choose from. The space had a desk area which was great for working at during my off hours from the conference. The TV had a few channels to choose from, including two local channels. The bathroom was set up nicely with a hidden toilet, a big vanity sink, and shower area. The shower faucet had no H or C for hot/cold water so I think I wasted a ton of water trying to find the hot water during each shower which made me mad because I was wasting precious water down the drain. I never really could find the hot water so I had a mild shower each time. The bathroom also had a motion detector light which was activated as soon as you left the bed. When I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, the light came on before I got there which really woke me up and kept me up for quite a while. The light stayed on for about 15 minutes before turning off which was annoying and wasteful of electricity. I wish the hotel would look at better options for sustainability and utility savings. Hotel bar and restaurant was pretty good for the most part. Bartenders were a little short with our group but we chalked it up to being overworked. Pool area was nice to sit by and relax. Our waitstaff at the pool was awesome. She was quick to get orders out. We did take a walk on the beach and appreciated the hotel/city blocking cars from driving in the area.

The place was so clean and staff so helpful. Rita in star services was awesome guiding us with a scavenger hunt and Mecci was a great server and very attentive during our pool time. The food was excellent ...and the beach in front of hotel is a no drive beach and very safe.
