Enjoyed the stay very much. Service was great. I saw positive reviews on the food and they didn’t disappoint. It was very good. Cleanliness was good. Some hair was left behind on the toilet seat and towels but nothing too bad. I really enjoyed the service. It took it from a 4 to a 5 star for me.
Would not return to Emotions.

The 4 star rating is not true.. pros were the staff works so hard and were mostly friendly and also the beach I Would give the beach 5 stars. Also the outside entertainment doing the dominican and retro shows were so talented and the inhouse entertainers did a good job at the beach party so 3 nights out of 7 had 1 hour only of great entertainment. but after 10pm lights out if you have teenagers because you cant go to the disco or play pool or do much because its all adults only in the sports bar and disco. So the other 4 nights not good nothing to do or see. Cons The Room: was horrible smelled like mold everyday. Ceiling in bathroom leaked on us everyday. Mold on ceiling of room was painted over to try and hide it but they can't hide it. Phone covered in paint from the patchwork paint jobs they did. Mold is all throughout the room box spring and beds even had it. Food: not good we were ill after many meals because the buffet is not keeping food hot enough. Taste also lacking things just tasted so off. Italian a la carte was decent and Mexican a la carte tasted great but we were sick next day so turned out not good. Day of checkout we planned to stay in room till noon as our bus came at 2pm and hotel decides that's the day to fumigation our room at 930a.m? So we had to chill in a bug spray smelling room like why not just wait till guests checkout to do that? But at least the bug spray smell covered the mold...never will we return. VH GRAN ventana we stayed at last year was far better i wish we just went there but thought we would try somewhere new. Im not sure how emotions has the same 4 star rating as gran ventana its more superior for food and room and has same beach. We are from Canada and have stayed at many 4 star all inclusives but emotion reminded me of a motel with low room standards. I wish we stayed somewhere else in DR for $3000 canadian 2people it was so not worth it.
