Buffets are good. Al la Carte Restaurants are great. Staff is awesome. Rooms are dated but clean. Choice of lounge chairs or beds Pool view building has balconies that are angled so you overlook the pool a...nd can see the ocean. Our 5th time here.

Terrible food, kids screaming and running all over, dirty beach chairs, not what we expected rooms very plain and unimpressed

Upon arrival at the hotel, we immediately wanted to leave but it turned out to be a good holiday. The rooms had a musty smell, the air conditioner was extremely loud, and the beds were rock hard. Additiona...lly, the mirror in the bathroom was rusty, adding to the overall lack of upkeep. The hallways were very dark, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere. The elevator felt unsafe, often closing before everyone was inside. It was also very small and in desperate need of updated tiling. Overall, the hotel is a definite 2.5-3 star experience, though there were some positive aspects. The dining options had their highlights and disappointments. While there were many dessert options, it was surprising and disappointing that churros were not available. On the bright side, the Italian restaurant was by far the best! The steak was amazing, and my kids happily ate there three times during our stay. The buffet was consistently good, offering fresh fruit—we especially loved the pineapple. The drinks were enjoyable, though not always consistent in their proportions. Sometimes they were too sweet, other times not sweet enough. My personal favorite was the mango mojito. However, the hot water for tea was never actually hot, which was frustrating. Housekeeping did a great job. The beds were always made, and the floors were washed regularly. However, the towels provided were inconsistent—some days we didn’t receive hand towels or face cloths. The games room was decent. My kids enjoyed the ping pong table, but it was disappointing that the air hockey table was broken. They had a chance to play Xbox one night, though the variety of games was lacking. Additionally, the movie shown each night was always in Spanish, limiting accessibility for non-Spanish-speaking guests. The entertainment staff put in a lot of effort. We attended multiple shows throughout the week, and the Disney-themed show was a standout for kids. We mostly used the main pool, although it varied on business throughout the day. The activities pool was too loud for us. The Waterpark was definitely for kids under 6. The grounds were well-maintained. There were always staff pruning and watering. The bathrooms were well maintained, as much as a bathroom beside a pool and ocean can be. We only saw one iguana. While there were some redeeming aspects of our stay, the overall experience left much to be desired. With some updates and improvements, this hotel could provide a much better experience for its guests.

Room for family of 5-great size. King bed was as hard as rock. Bunk bed with trundle was great! Bathroom did not have hand towels or face clothes. View was awful-of concrete parking lot. INCREDIBLY small b...alcony and couldn’t even fit a chair. Food was okay. Speciality restaurants were a huge pain to book. Had to log in at 9 in the morning on the dot or couldn’t book. Hard to book large groups. Service was okay, but food was not overly warm. Drink selection was great, and all of the bartenders were really friendly! Beautiful beach. Always chairs and shaded areas. Kid pool area is extremely dangerous. My son injured himself first day sliding into a pool with not enough water. This whole area needs to be redone to ensure children safety. Shows were great, but quite late for anyone with small children. Hotel was old and dated. No working phones or safes in several rooms. Pools were fun. Found out last day we could have visited the other Crown Paradise resort?! Not sure if this was true, but we were never actually told this. Overall I would rate the hotel a 5/10.

Despite the poor state of the rooms and overall food quality and below average amenities my family.had a great time fully taking advantage of the pools, bars and beach areas. Their hotel needs improvements... across the board.
